Finally
Got mine cut for the first time since February last week. Felt real good to be clean cut again. I was using clippers to keep the sides and back short so hair would not tickle my ears and back of the neck. Luckily my company allowed people to wear hats at work until the barber shops reopened around here.

What’s in your hands and in the water most of the time?
Most used this season is: Lew's TP1 Black Speed Stick 6'8" M/MF Lew's Pro-Ti SLP Speed Spool 10lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid Some form of finesse jig or weightless worm.

Lightweight, Durable, Baitcast Rods Under $50?
I couldn’t agree more. I fish with my father in law from time to time. He likes to bust my chops about how his cheap gear catches fish just like my expensive (to him, cheap to others in these forums) gear. I fish with what I like. And I can tell you I don’t like fishing with a cheap Shakespeare or Ugly Stick combo anymore. Buy what you like, can afford and enjoy. Life’s too short not to.

Tiny Child Rig
Better names for this rig would have been the Neko Ned or the reverse Finesse T-Rig.

Graphite frame reels over $100
I sold my 1st edition land destruction deck complete with mox artifacts and it paid for an all inclusive Caribbean vacation for me and my girlfriend at the time.

Graphite frame reels over $100
I wasn’t hating. It is one of the farthest casting reels I own. It is virtually backlash free when the dual brakes are set correctly. I do not feel this reel warrants a MSP of $160 though. It feels like plastic, is noisy and not as smooth as my other Lew’s reels. I needed black bordered cards. The white ones got dirty and dingy looking...

One Solution to Crowded Water ~ Fish at Night
Same here. They say bugs are attracted to some folks more than others. I am one of those people bugs love

Tiny Child Rig
I used the Tiny Child Rig again today. I experienced a lot of the same things you mentioned. The tiny bites that ball up the TRD could be Bluegill. I know it was in my case. Anytime I had hits but failed to hook up it was Sunfish. Smallmouth and Rock Bass that hit this lure are usually hooked. I like a size 1/0 zoneloc worm hook way better than the Neko hooks for this rig. Better hook ups IMO http:// http:// Only one Smallmouth today. He shook off the hook before I could get a picture. I ordered some screw lock Neko weights to try. Nail weights have been fine once I glued them but I want the metal weight for the noise factor it makes when hitting rocks.

Graphite frame reels over $100
Maybe. https://www.toyotanso.com/Products/Special_graphite/ That being said I prefer aluminum framed reels. I have the Mach Crush (Got the combo for $100 on sale) and it is not a $160 reel IMO. It’s not a bad reel. It Looks good, casts fantastic, nice dual braking system, but feels like plastic. You pay for the pretty paint job and the oversized Winn Grip knobs. I would never buy one at full price. I have the first generation Mach I baitcaster combo. The reel reminds me of the tournament mb just made out of graphite instead of aluminum.

I Got The Call
This can’t be stressed enough. My friend, and godfather of my son lost his own son at 19 in a drunk driving accident. He will not get behind the wheel if he has had even 1 alcohol drink. My wife and I pledged to do the same. We take turns being the designated driver when we go out. It has worked for close to 20 years of marriage.

The latest sale thread
I agree. Also who doesn’t have 3700 or other size boxes lying around to fill this bag with? This is a good deal. I like the plastic bottom. Helps keep stuff dry if the ground or boat bottom Is wet

What's more important?
Numbers. Catch enough fish and one them is bound to be big. Happens to me many a time during the season. I like multi-species fishing as well. Some species are relatively small but still fun to catch.

Cherish the moments
Sorry for your loss. Glad he will be spending Father's day with you. Make some shelter in place ribs and a couple of vodka Gimlets and enjoy.

Picking out a new rod help....
Is that a 2 piece rod? I like those camouflaged grips but I don’t need another 2 piece rod.

Picking out a new rod help....
If you have a Dicks Sporting Goods or Field and Stream I recommend their exclusive rod. The Lew’s Carbon Fire rod. On sale for $59.99 normal price is $79.99

Who makes a reliable fish grabber?
I have the same one for my kayak. Good little net. It has served me well.

The official "Who's drinking tonight?" thread
I sat on my patio tonight and had some tacos and some Mango White Claws. Great refreshing summer drink. Some of the flavors like Mango, Natural Lime and lemon are fantastic. Some like Black Cherry, Watermelon and Raspberry are not for me.

My hook up ratio sucks
Cold front here as well. Was the fish you landed warm? Mine were as the water temps were not overly effected by the temp change. As far as the hook up ratio sucking all I can say is Mama said there’d be days like this. I had 5 fish hit the Whopper Plopper today. I was only able to land 2. I had most 3 quarters of the way to the bank before they came off. Heartbreaker but it happens.

Tiny Child Rig
One thing I forgot to mention. I will be supergluing the Eagle Claw 1/16 oz nail weight into the TRD from now on. The nail weight has a tendency to slip out and I lost one when I caught the Smallmouth Bass. He shook so hard the nail weight came out.

Tiny Child Rig
I have been fishing it from shore but I imagine it will work well on a boat.

Tiny Child Rig
Size 1 Trokar. I switched today to size 1/0 Zoneloc hooks and got 2 Rock Bass and a Smallmouth. I like the way this hook lays on the TRD. Very easy to Tex-pose the hook. http:// http:// http://

Tiny Child Rig
My last two fishing sessions were a nightmare of snagged Ned Rigs. Using a heavier Berkley half head jig comes with risks. I was unable to bend the hooks out to retrieve my snags like I can with the light wire Shroomz heads. Today in an effort to fish the same area with less chance of losing more rigs I decided to try the Tiny Child Rig. Z-Man Finesse TRD, 1/16th oz nail weight, Trokar Neko hook. I threw it on my Lew’s Pro TI on a TP1 Black Medium Rod, 10# Yo-Zuri hybrid line. Great action on this rig. I had a short time before I had to run some errands and was only able to get a Rock Bass. I will definitely try this rig again as I was snag free. http://

You know what grinds my gears...
The way to avoid this in the future is wait for a sale before you buy. I have not paid full retail on a reel in years. The only regrets I have now is if I buy something on sale and a short time later there is an even better sale.
