  1. I have two of them and have no cons whatsoever. I have a extra spool for both, I keep floro on one and braid on another.
  2. NHBull, l couldn't agree more. I've had a radio on boatd for 20 years, and XM for the last 13 years. I enjoy list listing to NASCAR, football game, and the news, I aim to keep it down as to not disturb anyone near by. I've used a good all weather speakers like that are on the exterior of most campers now days with out any issues. Happy listing on your new Lund
  3. Lews Spend Pro Series comes with a extra spool. My wife got me one for Christmas last year and It's been a great reel this past year.
  4. I always eat a good breakfast and then on the boat it is: Coffee, water and Jolly Ranchers. Sometimes, a pepperoni roll makes it on there.

Me too NHBull, I started casting my own boolets years ago, thinking of trying to start making some lures
  6. I love the wind and have been fishing out of aluminum boats for years. A good stout TM is a must. As many have said, I point my bow right into it cast into the wind. If the wind dies down a little, I'll turn side ways as to get more push, and the turn back if the wind picks back up. A good wind during the mid day always means it's about to pick up for me. Don't fight it, use ot to your advantage.
  7. I work 10 days on and 4 off, so usually I get out 2 of my days off and fish form daylight till dark, usually year around, unless we have a bad winter, I spend the other 2 days getting my work done. Consecutive, is around 8 to 13 days around 3 times a year when we camp on the lake. Getting ready to go on our 12 day last camp of the year.
  8. I couldn't be more in agreement. My most favorite and productive time is also fall. I got out this past Friday and had the best day of the year, looking forward to my next trip.
  9. My wife and best friend of 35 years dose fish, but not quite as hard core as me. Her most famous saying over the years has been "It doesn't count, because you didn't get him in the boat" Once I had a biggun on and fighting it and hollar at her to grab the net, and I sware she beat it right on the lure and it broke off, she didn't say I'm sorry, you guest it. It didn't count!! We still have that conversation if it was a accident, she stands by her storry that it was, but I still wonder, Hmmmm ??
  10. I had that to happen a couple weeks ago for the first time. About like you, I knew it felt good but didn't feel right. I weighed them, one was almost 3 lb and the other was a 1.5 lb
  11. WOW!! I've seen lighting strike on the water before, and see the blue streak across the lake, but nothing like that.
  12. I have four Lew's reels, two speed spool & speed spool M&B on TP rods. They're on there second year of a lot of use with out a single issue what so ever. I'm getting ready to go for number five.
  13. Can anyone update this list? I live in southern WV and ran across a Gas station/bait & tackle shop, and they do sale ethonal free gas and I would like to pass it on. I'm not very computer savvy, but here's the info if someone could get it on the site. J&J Kountry Korner Rt-16 Crab Orchard WV 304-253-4583 It's a Citgo station Any help with this would be appreciated.
  14. Yep, memories....LOL
  15. Good evening folks, do any of you have any experience with these? My wife and I have been fishing together for 35 years and better than 25 of those we've owned a boat, three to be exact, one glass and two aluminum. We've always liked our deep V aluminums, but now that the kids are all gone, we're looking at buying one more. I have a Crestliner deep v now that we purchase new in 06 but we're going to get something with bigger decks. My Crestliner has been a champ with absolutely no issues, so naturally I'm looking at them again. I've found a new TC 19 pro edition at a good price and good trade for mine, but I can't seem to find much real world experience reviews on them. Can find all kinds of reviews and opinions on the VT series, So, do any of you have any experience with these? If so, tell me about it. I've narrowed it down between this boat or a Ranger RT198C. Thanks
  16. Interesting, I've wondered the same thing. I've turned mine off before, and didn't notice any difference. Looking forward to response.
  17. I spent way to much time in one spot, but I'm in no rush, I don't fish tournaments, I just like trying new things to see what I can get bit on. If everything points to there being a fish there, and I'm convinced that there is, it's hard for me to leave. Most of the time I'll catch one, but sometimes I give up and move on.
  18. My Son!! Several years ago my son and I was crappie fishing, one of us got a bite and some ways we got hooked up together and we both was in a fight with, what we thought was a biggun! We both jerked each other around for a little bit until we figured out what was going on. We had a good laugh.

Ruger Blackhawk 357 mag and a good auto 9mm, probably a S&W performance center shield
  20. Crowded boat ramps then some guy backs down not prepared to launch . I second this
  21. In my home State there's a law that you can't fish within 20 feet of someone else fishing. I guess it would depend on local or state regulations
  22. Yes, I also have a CC and carry. Usually out on the boat it'll be something a little bigger tucked away in a compartment
