When I was having trouble with my Minnkota my local ASC Center told me all I could do was remove the prop to check for line. Removing the 4 screws and lifting the cover of the head would void warranty.

Note, Opening up the head will void the warranty so please be carefull.

When I put a 80 lb MinnKotta Maxxum on my 18' Stratos I had just about the quickest around 2.8 MPG GPS. Then a buddy put a 101 Maxxum on his 19' Ranger. We had a miny drag race and within 3 boat lenghts he had me by 20' he gets 3.6 mph gps with 1 motor on a 19' ranger 461V and can go 8+ hours no problem.

1996 278 V 18' Stratos 150 HP Intruder trailer 3 -27 batteries, NO GAS or Tackle 2780 lbs certified scale. The night I bought it I stopped at the Truck Stop and unhooked it on the certified scale. 30 gallons gas 240 Lbs oil 12 lbs tackle 100 lbs jackplate 27 lbs battery charger 18 lbs spare prop 5 lbs upgraded to 2 31 series batteriers 25 lbs 427 lbs 2780 lbs = 3207lbs I tow this all over New England with a 1993 Chevy Astro Van 4.3 V6 3.23 gears a tranni cooler and a HD Radiator. Never over heats and can run 65+ except for the biggest hills. 275,000 miles OR My 2005 Mitshubshi Endeavor 3.5 V6 AWD limited with 3500 lb tow package. You never know its there 75 -80 mph on any highway, hills 75 mph and my foot is never on the floor. 17 Mpg towing at 65 mph with the it packed for a week also. Trailer has no brakes but I may put a set of electric's on this season. stopping isnt that bad either but brakes would be nice for the panic stops and hairline... I had a F100 with a 450Hp 428 cobra jet C6 and 3.89 gears and have been towing for years. Any good V6 will do fine with 3500lbs unless you want to drive 65 mph in the Rockies.

I already surpassed my 2006 best and LBH's 03, 04, 05 is a close call and he was DQ in 2006 for weighing in his live bait 1-6-2007

That motor as well as many other OMC's need exactly 33oz yes 33 1 bottle and and bit from another. I also recommend Amsoil synthetec lower unit oil. will mix with water and still protect and some claim and extra 100-200 rpms. I can confirm that if i spin my prop when it s under 45 degrees it does spin much easier than with regular lower unit oil.

My sons tracker, 1997 pro team 17 ,has the vin # as most trailers do stamped in the tongue and also a rivited tag on the axle about a foot ftom the passenger side wheel. As a last ditch effort any trailer can be considered homemade and most DMV's will allow you to registar any trailer consdiered homemade.

You should never us a a car battery for deepcycle trolling motor applications. The use of dual purpose marine batteries is ok but your best best is a deep cycle battery.

Since most Electronic's go down and Lowrance is coming out with a complete new line for 2007 (this year now) You might want to wait and see what the 332C does. It's one of the best models out there period. they are $599-649 now and should drop. Also if you are BASS Federation member check with your state federation. Lowrance offers a great program with huge discounts that you might be entitled to.

My friend has a ranger with 2 of these. 2 trolling and 1 for starting. they weigh 43 lbs and i have to say he has the same size boat and simular trolling motor 80 lbs and on most tournaments we fish the same area's and they are pretty good after a hard day. I have since installed a 101 minnkota in his boat and we added a third. I have a 80 Maxxum and on fresh batteries he walks away from me. I get 2.7 gps hew gets 3.5 gps. Those batteries also run a few tenth of a volt highter 12.9. after a hard day of fishing he still walks away from me. We both have 18.5' Glass boats. I run 2 Trojan SCS 225 31 series batteries

I'm a newbie to video editing. How do you get those SHORTS to look like 6 lbers in your videos. I called BPS and they said some guys from RI bought all the SPECIAL camera lens to enhance the size of fish. I just hope your not using it on "PRIVATE" parts.

We could go on and on with security measure's. I thought of a newspaper with the date but anyone with phoptoshop can do just about anything. While Florida has big fish we streched this one. "No actual fish were harmed or stretched during this example of photoshop" If I could only figure out how SOMEONE enlarges them in Videos. ;D

How about a online tournament during a week in the summer. During that week we will photo a measured bass on a golden rule, Submit it to a tournament board and at the end of the week have a winner. It will be on the honor system and with no money involved who cares. South of the Mason Dixon line is a automatic 3" handicap... LBH will get a extra 2" to any fish for good deeds with the kids. LBH another possiblity is that either your hardrive or cd may have lost it's dma setting. It may be talking to the mother board at a much slower speed that it can UDMA 2-6. Drives both hardrives and optical (CD ,DVD) can go back to PIO mode which is a much slower transfer rate. I'm working on a brand new Acer laptop that does this every 5 days or so. Windows XP drops down to PIO mode after 6 data transfer errors. It doesnt go back by itself. Try control panel, system, hardware, device manager, IDE controllers than check primary, double click it then go to advanced. Look for current transfer rate. Call me you have my number if needed.

There is 2 models I'm pretty sure. There are for the 10-50 hp or so. I'm sure that 135 is a bit much.
