  1. My buddy David is the same way. His last two encounters with yellow jackets have landed him in the ER. The Doc suggested he hire his lawn mowed because his reactions were only getting worse and worse with age
  2. That’s what I was thinking haha.
  3. Revisiting my post, I’ve also been very lucky and never had to spray any chemicals on my yard. That zoysia takes over all other grass by mid summer. I have some onions and nutsedge in the spring but I can just wait and it gets overtaken when heat arrives in may/june
  4. We are trying. Most , maybe 75-90% of folks move here and are perfectly happy. There is a small portion that move here and can’t stop talking about how things were better wherever they came from and trying to re create their former circumstances. It’s a strange pattern, not sure why they left if everything was so much better from whence they came
  5. We are maxed out with Californians, sorry……… just messing, but it is ASTONISHING how many people have moved from CA to TN in the last couple years. I have hundreds of close friends and I can’t think of any that don’t have CA neighbors now. cost per trip varies greatly. I can only think of one ramp that I use with a launch fee and it’s $1, Poland creek. Gas price just depends on where I go, which boat I use, and how far I drive away from the access. The real cost comes when I break things, like lower units or trailer wheels. or when I use a kayak rod holder even though I know better
  6. I’m not a gambler. I’ve fished a couple tourneys and forking over the entry fee hurt my soul
  7. Well, that’s spot on!!! Back when Walmart sponsored FLW, the forest wood cup paid $1,000,000 to first place. Now that wal mart left, that tournament trail and cup don’t even exist
  8. Then why not throw the 110 on 65 lb braid?
  9. Whatever you are doing wrong, I am too. Granted ponds (golf course) are the only place I’ve ever had success with spinnerbaits, but that was some time in the late 1990s
  10. Nah, they are easily replaced
  11. I’ve gotten some at tackle stores in years gone by. Good stuff. I’ve also got a bunch of hand poured worms a guy made me that he called 8” floating producto worms. Caught an 18” smallie with the back half of one on a jighead Saturday. They look like this, I got grape color
  12. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/okuma-hakai-review.html
  13. Easy answer: Ambassadeur!!!! This is my favorite that I own, it was my grandpa’s. Ambassadeur 5000c my dream reel would be a 5500c with a bit faster gears, like this. I’ve used several but never had one I have several 4600c and I like them a lot, but I prefer the metal button spool release off to the side. I’ve broken a few of the plastic fast cast buttons on the 4600s, somebody thought they could make a better mouse trap but as always it was worse than the original notice a theme? Haha
  14. I’ve done a 15 mile float on the Holston river many many times in an aluminum canoe. I’ve also done an 18 mile float in it 3-4 times, you need 4 bologna sandwiches and some beer for that one. No motor, no pedals You can do 5.2 out and back no problem!
  15. This month, $0. That’s the goal for me, got some debt haha i want to say I spent $15 or so last month, got 3 hair jigs and a 25 pack of jigheads
  16. Only 15 lbs for the battery is pretty awesome, I gain that much weight after a weekend of cookouts
  17. Shell cracker G2, you fishing with @PhishLI? Haha nice fish, seems like big LM like that plug
  18. I LOVE spectating fishing tournaments
  19. Pretty sure zaldain came in 4th at st Lawrence, said he was winding the whole time. I’m not exactly sure y’all are watching closely
  20. Well like I said they bounce right off a vehicle, mine included. I’ve also had a kid throw a softball from a pitching machine out of a school bus that hit my windshield when I was traveling the opposite direction on a two lane double yellow line road, completely shattered it. That kid could be a junkie in jail, could be an elected official by now, who knows. Seems more dangerous to me to line the fairways with spectators also if you can’t get respect after doing dumb stuff, well then I’m Rodney dangerfield. “I can’t get no respect”
  21. That makes it a PB…… hahaha
  22. Wet stone or flat file
  23. Nice ones! Your rock bass is actually a war mouth . Could potentially be a rock bass dressed up in a war mouth costume tho
  24. That would be undersized for a keeper, not legal bait
  25. They are building a top golf right next to interstate 40 in Knoxville, I don’t think that’s much of a concern. I used to rent a condo on a golf course, the balls bounced right off my truck
