Fly fishing toothy critters
My buddy was telling a story when he hooked that second one. He calmly stated a sentence, set the hook, the next part of the sentence got exponentially louder and the rod doubled over and started surging

Costs (NO POLITICS)

Fly fishing toothy critters
He got two that day, the smaller one was the jumper in the video. First one was 45” but didn’t fight quite as hard we didn’t measure the second one, it was probably 40”+

I have now heard a few people mention that places on rivers near gravel pits generally hold large smallmouth, why do you suppose this is?
I was also thinking that. When I was camping in the swamp last month, I needed a rock to assist in calming a fish down that I was trying to fillet. Couldn’t find one! A river without rocks, something you won’t encounter where I live. That river without rocks is loaded with crawdads, we’ve had them crawl into the tents and all the fish we clean have craws in their stomach

what is your pocketknife?
Mine is currently gone……… I’m sure it’ll turn up haha

Hardware cloth > styrofoam

have you caught a bass on all your rod combos?
There’s usually 50-75 people swimming there, you just have to cast inbetween them all! Winter is nice and somewhat quiet

have you caught a bass on all your rod combos?
Absolutely. I can walk from my front door to a rock quarry full of small hungry largemouth and test any new combo haha

I wouldn’t say smallmouth have a low tolerance for pollution, example Tennessee river. The tributaries coming out of the most polluted tourist towns are absolutely loaded with monster smallmouth I can’t help much on the gravel thing

Hahahah! Just messing with ya. My buddy actually lives in a concrete house with metal roof, he’s had problems just like all of us. I think stucco can be really good once you get it squared away. The styrofoam excuse for stucco they use here is comical, it’s pretty much tropical weather so obviously it soaks up moisture

I know exactly where you went wrong……. bought a stucco house

Starting a garden
Where I live, the ground is made of rocks or clay and none of it is flat. So, stuff doesn’t grow well. People have tried different things for years, picture an ultra skinny hillbilly in overalls and that tells you how well food grows here. But what we can grow is green beans, okra, tomatoes and in some places potatoes. We can grow corn but not on a large scale like the Midwest or even west TN if humans could survive on acorns and hickory nuts, we would be located in the garden of Eden
