  1. I failed many times with the QR code and time sensitive google Authenticator
  2. I entered the time sensitive code about a dozen times and it said incorrect every single time. I even tried copy and paste. Then the scan QR code thing didn’t work because it would only allow the camera to scan it. then I answered the security question haha. Which if anyone knows me they could guess I thought the rooskies had infiltrated my mobile device, I considered throwing it into the river
  3. They always save plenty of energy for when you bring them into the boat.
  4. summer patterns for me is usually smallmouth are blasting shad on the surface or hanging out around some bluffs/cliffs. They don’t seem to care which end of the reservoirs, especially because they meander in all directions
  5. Legend has it he is still driving back and forth to this day
  6. My mom still has a set of lawn darts haha. I think she believes they will draw antique level price one day
  7. Nice fish! Yeah the gar will hit literally every lure, it’s just hard to hook them. I usually throw and old jerkbait that’s swelled and cracked at them
  8. Heckuva day today. My buddy was wanting to get a gar on his fly rod. They usually don’t get right up on surface until the sun is hot so we tried out in the main channel for bass/striper for a bit. We could see skipjack jumping all around but couldn’t catch them. I had 5 live shiners that I had caught off my dock. I tossed one near some deep rip rap and hooked something big on my light spinning combo. I thought for sure it was a giant drum of catfish as hard as it was pulling. Then I saw a big ole spotted bass bulldogging under the boat. Got him in (with lots of backreel) and it was a fat 19” fish. Upon further photo review, I think maybe it was a meanmouth. What do y’all think? So then we go hit the gar spot around 9:30 or 10 am and they are already surfacing everywhere. I caught one small one and we broke for lunch After lunch my buddy finally scores on a 45” gar on a fly. then a few minutes later he is telling me a story and sets the hook, I can see the fly rod surging, another gar a little smaller but it’s fighting like crazy then I got a nice crappie with live shiner to end the day
  9. My buddy threw out a pop R once and got a backlash. While he was picking it out, lure sitting dead still, a bass blew the lure up. He swings and misses, we laugh, he goes back to picking out the backlash…….. im sure you can guess what happens next BLAM! The fish blasts the lure again and he swings and misses again , then goes back to picking out the backlash for a third time
  10. That’s why we don’t trust them new fangled gizmos sonny it just about can’t float away if you tie it to a tree. It can however float away if you forget to tie it to the tree (speaking for a friend)

  15. My buddy got a hall pass from the wife and kids this weekend, said he wanted to catch a striper. Luckily they were jumping! Got them with walking baits then we took the boat out at 9:30 and re launched near the lake house to have her ready in the morning. Ran from 82 degree water at the dock up towards the mountains and 64 degree water. Only caught one smallie but it was fun on live shiner. Grilled one of the striper fillets today, butter and blackening . Mmmmm
  16. Queue evil laughter
