I always find it so odd to read about “targeting” smallies. Our waters are all smallie waters. If you’re fishing, youre pretty much targeting smallies. I saw a guy catch a monster smallmouth on cut bait he had out for catfish. If you target largemouth, you could easily catch a smallmouth. It’s a hodgepodge nonetheless I wish you luck on your smallmouth journey! Toss a 2.75 inch tube with an 1/8 oz jighead inside of it and they should be all over it

Well he got some, it was fishing pretty tough from all accounts. He’s way better than I’ll ever be at catching bass. But if you don’t like big tourneys on the same lakes every year, why contribute to the problem?!
