Fly fishing - what am I missing?
I also guided fly fishing for many years. I’m with @king fisher, it is most effective in small streams for fish that are eating bugs. I don’t participate much anymore but I can still wax them in a tiny mountain stream if I need to. I’ve got a good friend that guides smallmouth floats and he can really catch a lot of nice fish, river smallies are in tune to the drift and it can be extremely effective. Personally when it comes to bass, I’d rather jack em and fight em on conventional gear

@Skunkmaster-k, I’ve always used rapala knot for a loop in the past. Learned this one from Cliff Pace online the other day, triple surgeons loop knot. It’s way stronger and more reliable than the rapala knot

Shaking a minnow with no electronics and a baitcaster ? Impossible they said…….. well it works just fine. Got a ton of white bass with 1/4 oz jig and zoom tiny fluke with the Okuma Hakai. The bite was a very faint “tick” but once you set the hook it was game on. Also got to see a tug/barge leaving out right at sunset, loaded down with scrap metal . Fun evening with the fellas

Santee Lake. I think they found the body.
Only approved when worn has always been the rule with inflatables, I’ve seen some people get tickets for this. It’s the only logical way to apply a law to an inflatable

Don’t need a new rig but I want one!
You can throw a trick worm on about any baitcaster with no weight, just don’t overpower it or throw into the wind
