Hi Bass Resource family, I have a 1625 Lund Fury XL. I am looking to upgrade my trolling motor. I know I need 80lb thrust + 60" shaft length so far, however, I mainly fish rough waters on Detroit River or Rondeau Bay. Do you think it's enough? Do I need auto stow? Also, I come out to Kawartha Lakes in east end Ontario so might need a trolling motor that can handle shallow water also. Any suggestions? Cheers!

Hey BR fam, Any update on this topic? I have been a loomis fan since I can remember. Recently I bought my first Daiwa reel and I was blown away. I currently have 4 nrx and 1 poison adrena for crankbait. This makes me wonder how a steez rod would go with my steez a reel. I use 854 for flipping (3/8oz with t-rig beaver) and would be replacing it with the bottom contact. Is that a good replacement? Thanks!

Thanks dude, super helpful! I am about to pick up a Steez A today! And hopfully the new Zillion 10 for flipping in a week or so. I was a full shimano guy but needed a change.

Hey I have a bunch or NRX's and never thought I would be interested in any other rod but this year's new Xtreme definitely intrigues me. Do you think they are better multi purpose rods or a good replace flipping stick? I am either going to replace 853 or my 854. I use 853 for a bunch of applications but my 854 is strictly for flipping. Thanks!

I have 5 of their rods and I can tell you each one is unique with its flaw but why would a hook keeper affect the performance lol

Hi BR, Hope everyone is having a hell of a summer. After I Cast 2017, a big release was the Conquest rods by G loomis and Shimano. It seems they have finally woven the best of the two organizations technology and come up with CONQUEST. Any thoughts on these rods? $650 USD. WOW Tight lines -Drunkentigerrr
