  1. Did it start immediately after spooling new braid?
  2. At a minimum I would remove any line twist by trolling it out. I would take it down to the backing if possible. Also make sure she is flipping the bail by hand and give the line a slight pull. Do not crank through it. This is likely user error and not a braid thing. Has it been happening since you spooler it?
  3. I think the stadic is the answer, but I think you are over estimating the relevancy. Both are fine and don't see you bending the hook with either setup

Columbia pfg, patagonia ( expensive), free fly and northface are in my closet and many are long-sleeved and or hooded. It has taken 35 yrs to take the sun seriously
  5. The answer is clear, but let's face.....we all have seen guys with zero knowledge and the right bait, knock it out of the park........hell, I was that kid a few decades ago
  6. ..I have 2 CB rods and have 832 on the other ...SD is.19 vs 832 at.23 I was just gifted a 150 you spool I do like the feel of SD, don't think I have ever had a backlash...except flipping It is really a coin flip and I have not tried 20 lb SD
  7. Tom, I get it, and will likely settle on 20 lb smackdowwn, but so far the 10 is working well and I want to be able to speak from first hand knowledge.
  8. You can still find ci4's around in the 170.00 area....I have 4 and love them
  9. If you are looking for a loop to tie to, you can make one by tying a small piece of braid around the wires creating one. I would still tie directly to the loop
  10. I suspect I know the answer to this, but how do people recharge their trolling batteries if they keep their boat on a dock without AC? Can a solar panel work? Thanks in advance Al
  11. I actually had a Hurricane that was a deck boat, and after seeing your rig, I wish I had followed your lead.....it would have saved me money in the long run
  12. While it floats if unattached to anything, it sinks like crazy once surface tentioner is acquired. Also 832 will sink on its own.....size diameter outweighs natural characteristics. .....
  13. A buddy of mine mounted a solar powered, motion activated light on his deck and has a game camera mounted too. He did catch one young thug stepping on to his boat a midnight. The light is a detuant and the camera is proof to police. All can be had for 150.00 and no wiring
  14. If I was going to use 2 set-up, 1 would have to be a spinning set-up which could handle 1/3 of the techniques available. The other would be the MH baitcaster. This might leave you light on the heavy tech, but you can't have it all with 2 combinations. ........truth be told, I have friend that frog without using broomsticks
  15. I have tried the dredgers and find they do get down faster than anything else I have tried and come well balanced. I now try them in my usual jig conditions Getting to the desired depth also has a lot to do with the line you choose. I am running 10lb braid GAMMA on a baitcaster with leader and prefer it over FC......and I know I am in the minority
  16. Not sure what the question is here. Are you looking to purchase their equipment? If so, why these two? Is there a budget?...... Expanding the question will get more defined answers
  17. If you have some, there is no reason not to use it, but I think there are better options out there.
  18. That is exactly what I was thinking, now so or straight Impact......
  19. Your fine unless you are trying to throw heavy top waters, swimmers and cranks. If they are heavy, I use a heavier CB rod to handle such issues and pass on the M....
  20. Trying a Revel and Impact tomorrow, something tells me the impact might be the compromise
  21. Test driving a Tyee tomorrow, but the pro v is also looking good, but doubt the Mrs would let the pendulum swing that far
  22. I too like the crossover as does the Mrs but I don't need anything that pretty....would love a boat I didn't have to cover
  23. Thanks Roger, now it is time to do some shopping....I like the Alaskan, but may need to compromise
  24. Folks, The Mrs finally agreed that a bass boat that could still be used recreationalially was a good idea. I have been looking at Lunds and really like them. Just looking for feedback or thoughts.....rivets or weld I also have young grandchildren so that too has to be a consideration Thanks Al
