  1. Sorry, I love the Spro Rats and the WP....no need for anything else, but if you pull the trigger please report back....
  2. Used both and invisix gets the call
  3. The shamano 70's are getting great reviews.
  4. @Loomis13, ......yeah, should have read your entire post....
  5. I don't see a 6 or 7 a mistake.. I use a 7
  6. IMO 20 to 30 lbs braid for the baits you mentioned is overkill. 10 lb will be fine and it will cast a mile
  7. Most baits with craws and paddle tails work fine. I think size and action matters. A rage craw, hula stick, and zoom paddle tails are a good starts.
  8. Same as above....I keep 2 on and the wheel is adjusted after your spool tensioner. Mine is set at 4
  9. Charge it to your wife's credit card......proble, solved
  10. My day left a few Mitchell's that look just fine above my desk!
  11. On a side note, fishing is like another hobby where equipment is required. "you can't tell the cost of something until the accounting period is over" I bet bet that is you purchased both at retail...... used them for 2 years, then sold.....I bet the cost wouldn't be to far off,and you you have had the use for 2 yrs. Just thinking of my other hobbies....
  12. Another one......last yr I had a rat that was out performing every other surface bait compiled. One early morning, a monster jump it and broke my line. I put another one on and sat for about an hr.........45 minutes later it surfaced, it without the tail. Cant imagine how he got that loose.
  13. If wacky is out of the question, a Texas 4 or 5" GY senko You could also try a version of a weighted senko??
  14. That would be working off the premis that the hookup ratio would improve or the motion improved. I really can't see how the ratio could be better than a wacky hook
  15. I often wonder why a corvette is so much more than a camaro? In all seriousness, there is a distinct difference between the ci4 and mgl......it is all in the feel and if it is worth it for ya
  16. Said good by to a waiver 168 today......but it did sail a mile!
  17. The only thing I caught was a black fly ( NH's state bird). Very little showed up on electronics. Water temps are 44-47 f
  18. Just installed a hook 5 and what an improvement over the stock Garmin. Ran it on factory settings and thanks does take some time to get used to what I am seeing. Any feedback, suggestions or input is appreciated. I have been searching YouTube for an hr with little luck. Thanks Al
  19. Have tried, prefer braid.....just personal reference
  20. Buying a low quality caster may ensure you hate it. Fot the price of a couple more coffees, you have better options at TW.
  21. I run very little mono backing and make up the backing with old braid. I do this because I sometimes fish in open water and has helped me from getting spoiled a couple times. I also know exactly how much braid will fill when I respool
  22. Stain is different than water absorption,,,,,white line, stains
  23. I will be on Squam most of next week. very little feedback so far......
  24. This is. It an either, or decision , as both should be in the quiver
