  1. This yr I am an e6x and glx guy. The IMX on sale makes sense but not at msrp
  2. Gents, Looking for feedback on what people are using. I have always just pegged a weight on a wacky hook. Thanks for your input Al
  3. Some of the box store brands are OK, but most of their products are knock offs of better originals.....a little research on this site will guide you in the right direction. Personally, I don't mind spending a couple extra dollars for a superior product.....ie a crankbait with better trebles.
  4. I think the fine print says it could take a couple months, but who really cares
  5. Black/ blue green pumpkin june bug black/ blue has produced in almost every situation
  6. Loon and bone covers most bases and have produced well
  7. There are a LOT of better options for similar money. The reason there are a lot of reviews is because it is a good seller at wally world. Popular fishing boards will show different reviews from amazon
  8. In my next of the woods, it is hard to find anyone using more than 20 lb....
  9. Maybe, maybe not. It is hard to imagine a plastic that give me better results than a GY green pumpkin or black/blue.
  10. I played this game last yr and went with the Loomis E6X. More than what I originally wanted, glad I made the reach. You will run out of money before good options. Also, imho the jig rod do is where you should spend more $$$$$
  11. If you are covered on the basics, an extra real give you the ability on using different lines. If you are a bad day guy who swaps out leader, get the rod
  12. A 6.1 seams to be the best of both worlds, also let's me use a heavier top water on the same rod
  13. On my light spinning gear, 10 lb Braid, 5-6 foot leader. Long enough that I don't have to add leader while fishing, but not so long that it makes it to the reel. Longer FC leader also gives me the fall rate for plastics that I want
  14. # 2 snaps will work with most shallow to medium diving cranks. Try not to and see if you like it......for the sake of a few $$$$ you can decide for yourself
  15. I am picking mine up today. My buddy let me use his last year and I find it to be very versatile. Not a mistake by any means..
  16. I just went through this and the #3 Spro doesn't get as favorable reviews as the owner.......but I believe there is a stainless, but the prices would bring you back to owner
  17. I cover them.....it is just easier when moving them around
  18. Saying you never use leader with braid makes me think you have limited your techniques or use straight FC for finesse. I don't one a single person that uses straight braid for the lightest finesse techniques......
  19. For a light weight spinning set up anything over 10 lb braid for bass is over kill. That said, I run 20 lb for my open water setups which are heavier
  20. Do it right the first time! MET.....
  21. Given your access, I would spend a few days exclusively with cranks and really learn them....it will pay off in the long run
  22. While I have ever noticed a bump from the backing to main line, if it concerns you, a small piece of tape fixes it. Something to be said for not using backing.....
  23. Currently moving to all GLX's Tried the shamano couunted parts and was not impressed
  24. I have seen some used E6x's around for similar coin....let me look when I get home
  25. I have also found that I get far less treble fouling with Armilo.....think it's stoutness is an asset in this case
