  2. Less boyant would be a great start. I didn't know there were any that sank
  3. Gents PP and 832 are my go-to's for braid, but I am looking for something in the same quality that is less boyant. Any input is appreciated. Thanks Al
  4. I stand corrected, it was cabelllas, but has to be ordered by phone
  5. Thought I saw them on TW
  6. Don't have yrs of experience but tatsu and shooter has treated me well. That said, I am considering going to braid for everything and swapping out the leaders
  7. I use them instead of a spinner bait. Clear water, windy conditions, on the bottom, ect. One of the most versatile baits out there
  8. I have 4 of them and not desire to look further
  9. I have far better luck with Chatter baits in places a spinner bait is usually used.....no idea why?
  10. I will have 5 of them by next month. Truth be told, I don't pay more, but I would. 3 Baitcaster 2 spinning
  11. Hard to beat a wacky rigged senko, but sometimes it is better to possibly them off!
  12. Gotcha, I am in the clearest of clear with visibility offer over 10 ft
  13. I am getting ready to order some of the deeper divers and was wondering about color......I am dialed in on my shallow diver, but do the same rules apply 22 feet down? Thanks Al
  14. In my younger days, the silver buddy is what I would reach for.....with great success
  15. Friends will use 100% braid with no backing, using the tape method. The following year they reverse the line to expose the unused section. It isn't just worth their time
  16. Mod/fast http://www.gloomis.com/content/g-loomis/us/en/home/conventional/rods1/bass/imx-bass/IMX_SWIMBAIT.html
  17. Gents Is it unreasonable to use use a 904c as a deep diving crankbait rod? I don't want a "one trick pony" at this stage of the game. I don't want to get a dedicated deep diver until I really know what I want Thanks for putting up with these novice questions.....the game has changed a lot since I have been away. Al
  18. I know more and more guys using braid for everything and swapping out long leaders depending on situation....not a bad idea for the recreational guy, if you ask me
  19. I am pulling the trigger on a 70 this weekend
  20. On spinning gear, anything over 10lb is overkill.
  21. The whole discussion started over the Rat, med size at that.....1.5 oz
  22. Yeah, the premis was throwing trebbles For both. I can see where the difference would be. One of the older gents thanks it is marketing The reference was to the 884c subject 1/2-2 And 847c, 1/2 - ***/8 Both heavy with mod fast
  23. Just left a discussion with some old timers and the conversation came up... What is the difference between a crankbait and swim baits rod manufactured by the same company with similar power, weight capability and action. The example sited were the Loomis E6X crankbait Heavy and the e6x swim baits heavy, both with mod/fast action....... I had no first hand experience so am wondering what everyone thinks is it spring yet? Al
  24. While it could be mounted, the rod guides would prohibit a good cast
