  1. When I go to 20' and deeper, the lightest weight I have used is 3/8. Once I get to 30' I have had better luck with 1/2 ounce.....It just keeps better bottom contact. Next year I see myself throwing a lot more heavier weights deep
  2. Post what you are looking for in the classified on this forum. Great used equipment passes through here on a regular basis

Just thinking out loud......if it was a broken window vs a knock of the door, do you think you would have chosen differently? Just asking....I find my level of alertness has dictated my choice....

Having a gun is always better than not, but small concealed carry pistols are not good for home defense. A shotgun would be the first choice followed by a full size pistol. The shield would be a reasonable compromise is you wanted to conceal.

  6. It may really hurt resale! The fact that you are asking speaks volumes.....pass
  7. The beauty of braid to leader is that you change your leader based on situation. I use 4# to 12# depending on situation
  8. It usually works the other way around. choose your mainline first. Many rules of thumb are 10#braid on spinning gear and 30# on baitcasters
  9. @BrianMDTX, most military don’t spend much time with a side arm so it’s not surprising. There is a lot to be said for military .45’s. They were loose but accurate.
  10. I mirror all the sentimatments mentioned above, but I am the eternal optimist and see a lot of positives we may take going forward. Educational technologies are light years ahead of where they were Our medical system can be ramped up when necessary Supply chains have been built and reinforced. Made in the USA is coming back Hopefully we will be better prepared for when this happen again. Our economy while damaged did not crash. Neighbors are actually looking out for neighbors. Lower level medical professionals are once again appreciated. Parents reconnected with kids ( fishing/hunting) ......I can't help it, that's how I am wired
  11. I love it. I believe there is a premium package where you can look back at different times to see it at water levels. I think this would be especially beneficial for a kayak
  12. regardless of what you do, buy a bag of silica kitty litter ( dustless). It will absorb moisture when it relative humidity gets to 60%. Museums use a form of it and cigar collectors have been using it to regulate RH since it was made.
  13. When you grow up playing youth hockey 6:00 AM is mid day
  14. I too see myself going down a similar path at some point. Hope you report back your thoughts.
  15. Howdy, Going to give this a try this year. Already experimented with a big chicken last week and it was awesome. I have an electric vs the propane and can hold a 20lb bird Are there any tricks of the trade? Anyone inject marinade? Happy Thanksgiving!
  16. Its a huge bait that I struggled with. Could not get hit, but did not commit a bunch of time.
  17. Everything except CB,Spinners, Chatterbait
  18. simple fix. When you cut the leader tag, leave a little..... use a lighter or Berkley line cutter to leave a small mushroom on the head. Pull it into the wraps. finish with the rizzto (sp) finishe. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Berkley_Hot_Line_Cutter/descpage-BHLC.html Have never failed me since mushrooming the tag end of the leader.....
  19. I too have had a pontoon boat as a primary fishing vessel. As said above, wind is you biggest and navigating shallows can be thought without a TM. A bow and Stern anchor is a must and a pole anchor is a great idea for shallows. The biggest benifit was being able to take out some friends and not be in each other way..........An expandable net is also a great idea
  20. You want a Loomis GLX MBR paired with a Met or new Antares. I will cover all you want to do and more. ....the Swiss Army knife of fishing ?
  21. Wacky won the Summer for me ?
