  2. Celebrating “ice-out” last week with son and grandson. No longer taking things for granted.
  3. Really depends on deck layout and the amount of wood involved. you can find used Bennington and Premier’s for the same price and they are tons better in both respects........especially if your might put a TM on the bow for fishing. Regardless, buy a triple log boat, since they don’t plane, the extra tube really helps
  4. I use many of the listed above, but I usually give circle hooks to young kids and part time anglers. I am sick of dealing with gut hooked fish

  8. Sounds like the technique is in question, but I have also found that first spooling the line extremely tight and randomly making a cast adding resistance to the line also helps prevent digging in. last year I ran 2 baitcasters with 10 lb 832 and never experienced digging in.
  9. I bought some after the first post!
  10. Fully respect your opinion.......but also feel that when a fish isn’t going to make it, and there is a soop kitchen within 10 minutes of the landing, exceptions could be made

  12. Last year I got a bad batch of 12 lb Blue Label. Same thing was happening above the knot. when I talked to the shop owner, he admitted that others were complaining too. He gave me a new spool and have not had an issue since. on a side note, I have send guys set the hook without reeling in the slack and pop their line
