  1. My most expensive rod is St Croix LTB that was $260 but I had a warranty claim on a BassX that was $100 so I just paid the difference for the upgrade. So I didnt outright spend $260 but man I love that LTB and want to try the Legend Elite. Like a lot of you said trying higher end stuff makes you never want to look back. But if it’s your money do what you want. My father always told me that a man can do whatever he wants but not matter the consequences good or bad handle it like man. I am open to spending $400 on a rod but it would be custom if I do. I’m not spending that kind of bread on a rod that is not customized to my liking.
  2. I looked it up and I am quite impressed with the diameters for Sunline. Now my question to you is which Sunline flourocarbon should I use since it would used for a main line for traps, chatterbaits, and spinnerbaits, and cranks?
  3. Seaguar InvisX is the best I have used so far. But it is almost always sold out so I end up getting Trilene 100% and its works fine for me. I plan on giving P-Line a shot this year just to try something new. I have heard so much about Tatsu but I can’t bring myself to spend that kind of money.
  4. Let it go and keep fishing if it still works. The war wounds are inevitable.
  5. I just had to ask myself...... why am I here? Lol
  6. I plan on adding drop shotting to my arsenal this year. I don’t want to spend too much money on a rod out the gate since I don’t know if I will even like the technique. The two rods I have narrowed down to is the Enigma Aaron’s Edge 6’10” ML/XF ($119) and the St Croix Mojo Bass 6’10” ML/XF ($130). The Enigma rod is a little cheaper but has a microwave guide which I have no experience with and I wonder if they get tricky with leader knots since I will be using braid and a flouro leader. Which one would you recommend and I would gladly take any other rod suggestions around the same price range.
  7. Nothing is uglier than that *** z reel
  8. The CT type Rs and SVs are my favorite reels. Seems like they haven’t been out too long. Was this from a credible source?
  9. I have one of the 2018 LTB Rods and it said 15 year warranty when I received it. 15 years is more than enough piece of mind for me. I will be well into my 40s when that warranty expires so I’m sure I will have something to replace it by then.
  10. I have had that model since October. I have fished it about 7 times so far. I like the rod a lot and can’t wait to use it again once it warms up.
  11. My chatterbait setup is Daiwa Tatula CT Type R 6.3.1 on a Daiwa Tatula XT MH/M glass rod. So my set up is just under $300 without taxes and it has been perfect for me. My question is what benefit does the Jackhammer offer? I have never fished one and wonder what makes it’s better for the higher price point.
  12. I exclusively use braid for backing on all casting reels where flouro is the main line. I do it to keep myself from waistline too much flouro.
  13. I personally use a 7'4" st croix avid x h/f rod with a curado I 7.5.1 reel. I know rod power ratings are subjective but medium heavy is too light of option for my liking.
  14. I use Project Z 1/2 ounce. I mainly throw the breaking bream (bluegill) color in ponds. In lakes and rivers I through shad patterns like white and chartreuse. I personally like split tail grubs or no trailer at all.
  15. I have multiple tatula ct type r reels and one Curado I. You hit that on the money. My tatula breaks never go below 17 and I use minimal spool tension. They work flawlessly that way and get great distance. I have no problem going back and forth because I have them dialed in just perfect. The only reel I have issues with is my Revo S when switching from a different brand.
  16. I caught this smallie while fishing the White River in Indianapolis. He had black spots on his upper and lover lip.
  17. Curious to know what kind of rod, reel, line and lure ur using. It will take some time, start off with the breaks at the highest setting.
  18. I love St Croix. I have Triumph, Bass X, Mojo, Avid X, and LTB which covers most of their spectrum. Their customer service is great too. You won't be disappointed.
  19. I started out buying flouro leader line but now I use what's left of flouro main line. Flouro leader line is more abrasion resistant but I would rather save the money and use flouro main line instead. I try to watch my spending and the extra money for leader line can go in other places. I use mono main line as a leader for topwater lures.
  20. He needs to make some lady friends to relieve some stress or something. His testosterone levels are a little bit too high.
