I used to spend the extra bucks on leaders but now I just use left over flouro line and I have had no issues. Good knot tying takes practice. My knots have never failed me on a fish.

My got baits are the whopper plopper 110, wacky senko, chatterbait, and t-rigged rage craw. My next conquest will be cranking and dropshotting.

Not too far, right by the monon bridge. Raccoon was terrible today, I was out there for 8 hours and caught a dink and a white bass.

Some frogs just don't walk as easily as others. Maybe it's the frog or maybe it's me. I have frogs that I walk and the other ones I twitch. An observation that I made was that if the weight is more towards the center of the frog it was make sit horizontally and walks easier.

I love St Croix rods. I have rods from as low as premier up to Avid X. Customer service has been superb from my experience and I plan on buying a lot more. I'm in the process of getting a LTB casting rod now.

I use a mh/m glass rod for my chatterbaits and I prefer graphite for spinners and buzzbaits. Just my preference.

My buddy caught this fish and swears up and down the she was 5 plus pounds. How much do you think this fish weighs if you could guess. I would say 3 pounds.

Cabelas is about a 20 minute drive away and the nearest BPS is like an hour and a half away. I love going to Cabelas but they usually don't have in stock what I need from them. But after so many times of not seeing what I need I just buy online to be proactive. I'm too lazy for that hour and thirty minute drive to Cincinnati.

What kind of trailer are you using? Certain trailers make the lure swim higher especially craw style trailers.

That's interesting, never been to a pond with both smallies and largemouth. That would be interesting.

I'm 95% from the shore. I have a friend that has boat so I go out with him on the water when I can. I didn't change anything the few times I get on the boat. I use all of the same stuff but my go to lures are 1/2 ounce chatterbaits, weighthese senkos, and 1/4 ounce t rigged craw baits. On the boat I'm mainly fishing shallow water no more than 10 feet.

I'm looking into buying a boat but I have no where to store. For those of you guys that don't keep your boats at your house what are the cheapest option as far as storage?

I am left handed and I like cranking with my left hand. I cast with my right so the rod never switches hands. Fishing right handed is way too uncomfortable for me. I won't fish if the reel isn't left handed.

I got big leagued 2 weeks ago. The better man won. Funny thing about that is that the fishing partner I referred to in the OP was with us.

Good stuff, no one can fully duplicate how another person works a bait. You just proved it.

My fishing partner's excuse as to why I keep out doing him on the water and the bank is because I have better equipment. This had me laughing hysterically. I have 4 set ups right now and my 5th set up is under construction due to the rod being warranteed. I mainly use 2 of the set ups and my partner has 3 set ups. Does anybody else have a fishing buddy that tried to use this excuse? What other excuses do you guys get from your fishing buddies?

I have no problem telling what I am catching them on. I won't hesitate to ask what someone else is catching them on. Bass are fickcle so just because someone else is having success doesn't necessarily mean that someone else throwing the same stuff will yield the same results.

I was fishing the white river and fall creek for close to 8 hours yesterday. I did terrible. I caught a largemouth on a jig and little smallmouth on a fluke. I couldn't get them to bite. What were you throwing?
