Grass Mat Rookie
Might need to upgrade that weight to 3/4 ounce or maybe 1 ounce flipping weight with a flipping hook and punch those mats. Heavy rod!

What is the best and most value priced Hollow Body Frog that you do not have to squeeze the water out of?

GY 5" swim senko
I only wacky rig senkos now. I used to t-rig them weightless but they would only last 2 maybe 3 fish. I haven't pulled the trigger because I feel Like swim senkos will tear up just as easy.

Chatterbait vs. Spinnerbait
I am a chatterbait guy. I mainly fish shallow water whether it's from the bank or on a boat. They produce for me.

GY 5" swim senko
How did you rig it? I only buy the 5 inch senkos, I see the swim senkos all the time but I never pull the trigger.

Lews Mach 1 vs Mach 2
You have a Mach Speed Stick which is IM6. I have the Mach II combo and the rod with the combo is IM8. @d-camarena

Braided Line Strength
I have fished 30#-50# braid. Never had a fish break me off with any of these pound tests. I only use palamor and snell knots. I have pulled everything from large pipes and large branches out of the water with 30# braid. Then only time I have experience break offs is when I get caught on something that can't be moved. I mainly used Power Pro and Suffix but have used spider wire.

Loose line on Bait caster reel
Same thing happens to me when I'm walking a spook or a frog but it casts right out with no issues. More so with the spook because I can get those walk a lot wider. I use braid so it's casts right back out with zero issues. I was watching a video where Jimmy Houston said that "you know you walking a spook correctly if you get a little loose line." But to the OP, sound like you need to keep more tension on the line or maybe it's not spoiled correctly.

Curado I Vs Custom Speed Spool
So I have a dilemna. The Shimano Curado I and the Lew's Custom Speed Spool are the same price and on sale for 40% off. Which one would you recommend, they both feel nice in my hand. The gear ratios are 7.2.1 and 7.5.1 so very similar. If I were to buy one it would go on my frog rod. What do you guys suggest? Does anybody own both of them?

You guys have done it to me I'm trying again
I am curious to know what exactly the issue was with the t-wing??? I have 2 tatula type r ct reels and they work great for me. The t-wing won't cause backlashes. Were you setting the breaks correctly?
-
Tatula reel, line popping out of the T wing.
I use 15# Trilene 100 % and I have had zero issues with my Tatula. I also have one with 50# braid and it works flawlessly as well. Call Daiwa, they will take care of you.

US National Team
There was a US National Team for bass fishing assembled of both FLW and BASS pros. The team members are Scott Martin, David Dudley, Mark Rose, David Fritts, Fred Roumbanis, James Watson, Scott Canterbury, and Lionel Botha. They have hopes of one day making bass fishing an Olympic sport as they will be traveling to South Africa to fish in a tournament against other countries. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think bass fishing has a shot at becoming an Olympic sport?

New $99.00 Rod Wins Best Of Show ?
Who votes for these awards? Colors aren't a deal breaker for me but I would be lying if I said the neon green didn't make me cringe. $100 rod with a one year warranty, I'll pass, especially with that colorway.

Top water line
I use 40# braid with a 15# mono leader

Bass lures for the Midwest
You have a pretty good selection. I live in Indiana so I guess we deal with similar waters minus the pike and Muskie that I'm sure you guys have in Minnesota. Fish those senkos weightless whether it's wacky or t rigged. Use bullet weights when t rigging the curly tail worms. In Indiana I haven't much of anything about deep diving cranks working in the reservoirs near me.

Jig fishing in ponds?
I don't catch many pond bass on jigs. I missed a lot of them. I used to press the issue on it but I just simply switch to something else if it's not working. I have had more success with jigs in the middle to late fall.
