  1. yeah your right about that. i have a couple levantes and a couple orrochis . they are nice rods and i like them. but i feel like they were priced right where they should be in relation to the competition. add 50 bucks to each model and i feel like your in the ball park with better value rods for the money. if they dont go up as well.
  2. ive watched 2 reviews that said prices are not going up on exprides.so thats good at least. im not buying the 30% sensitivity increase. how would you even measure that? if i need another one ill buy a new one. certainly not replacing any old ones just because.
  3. i saw that. he did say he liked it. but then he is a lews guy.
  4. yes for sure get a 24 volt trolling motor. one of the ways the keep the prices down is to go cheap on trolling motors and electronics.
  5. i rig mine stupid sometimes. it works but man i wish the hook had a wider gap . i havent lost an unusual amount of fish but it sure doesnt leave much gap there.
  6. yeah i feel for you. its gonna be 9 here thursday morning . 9
  7. my shop has them. picked one up felt pretty good but thats as much as i can tell you. i was hoping to see some reviews on it too.
  8. i dont like glass. they feel heavy to me. also i fish alot of cranks around grass. i need a rod that is sensitive enough to feel the bait tic grass and has enough backbone to snap the bait out of the grass.there are some good moderate action graphite cranking rods out there. now if im fishing deeper diving plugs on rock or wood glass is fine.
  9. lol. i don think the color really matters that much. flash/vibration/reaction.also the underside of alot of bait fish are white. in a couple of our lakes that dont have shad i fish bluegill colored spinnerbaits and they work, but so does white.
  10. pretty similar. a little thicker but the same concept. small with very slight action.

looks like a cut tail worm. I use the 4 and 5 inch on a shakey head or drop shot. good little finesse worm.
  12. i used to frequent that site and made a couple good friends there. i liked it because alot of the guys fished the same waters as me. but it got to be less and less about fishing. thats why i stopped going there and come here every day at least once!
  13. that sting ray grub in cold water is a monster. alot of younger guys dont fish it.put it on a 3/32 ned head and gently swim it and let rest on bottom. magic.
  14. how did the zodias feel action wise. compared to the 610 mlfx? hoperfully a quicker stouter tip as id like to pick one up as an extra dropshot rod
  15. around here quality bites are hard to get. if the hook doesnt feel sharp or stout enough to do the job i replace it. i work to hard for too few hours on the water to risk losing my biggest fish of the year on a dull or weak hook.
  16. i think the boat noise or noise from trolling motor or depth finders would be more likely to spook them than a spinnerbait.
  17. i think the idea is bigger profile less plastic. the ribs have more surface area and move more water. I dont know if ant of that is true but i do know that i use a worm that looks just like that called a rattlesnake and it is a fish catching machine. texas rigged in spring. ive never fished it wacky.
  18. take it easy chief . i got no problem with what you said. just thought it was funny that for all the modern tools , studies electronics etc we have it all comes back to what buck found out years ago trolling a metal spoon.
  19. im even more confused than i thought i was.lol. i use fluoro on alot of my casting rods. i dont mind it although mono behaves better. i just dont like being lied to and i wonder about the truth of stretch sensitivity etc. no sense paying the extra money if you dont have to.
  20. buck perry needs to chime in.lol
  21. yes. dont complicate it. you can always change colors on the trailer if you wanna throw some different colors in there
  22. i got some mcoy crystal clear im gonna try this spring. if i like it im gonna shift to all that . except when i use braid
  23. id put an ultrex on the hobie , stay with the 180 drive . you get all the benefits one the pedal drive plus spot lock etc. if the weather gets crazy torn on the motor and get back to the bank etc. iys alot of money but compared to a fully rigged boat. pretty cheap and alot less maintenance.
