The "things wives say" thread.
That water is not deep enough for fish! How can fish see in those thick weeds?

Baitcasters LH vs RH retreive
I did this for many years, until... ...I took a long break from fishing and now I cast with my R hand and crank with my L. I have sold or given away all my RH crank reels. It seems unnatural now!

2008 Subaru Impreza
I am on my second Suburu. An Outback lasted 225k with minimal maintenance. My current Forrester, 2012, has 96k on it and zero issues. It's the wife's and I am not allowed to discuss trading it in.

Telling people off...
I do call out littering EVERY time I see it. I try to be polite to avoid butthead confrontations. So far I have not had any.

Mike, we'll be thinking about you and praying for you too. Most sure where you live but I rode out a few in Lake City and it wasn't that bad. Ft Lauderdale was another issue. Fill your bathtubs, get some food and meds out up too Nothing personal but a firearm is a good thing to have also for the looting scabs that always arrive afterward. Keep us posted to!

Batten the hatches.
As WRB said, put up the shredders and get on the road! Having lived in Coastal NC through the 70s, 80s and early 90s I have ridden out quite a few of them and I understand that leaving is very difficult. But none of those approached Category 5! Don't be silly guys!

Please DO NOT hang around! As Papa stated, anything material can be replaced! Living in Florida does NOT mean you are professional hurricane Dodgers.

At what size/weight do bass start eating 9-10" Trout?
That's incredible. I have seen a number of Musky's go after abnormally large meals. A few die with them still there stuck too!

Lures snapping off while casting w/ braid
Do not cast a heavier lure for a long time without re-tying either. I use 20# braid all the time without issues. You've got a whole lot of good information here with many ideas. Be smooth, and check your gear. Just $ 0.02 from an old fat guy, GOOD LUCK!

Best Company Braid?
I use Power Pro and Suffix 832 on everything. I have confidence in them from long time use!

Another Hurricane???
This one could be very ugly. I am glad I hope those living anywhere east of me take the time to prepare just in case. If any member needs to get boat, motor home or anything away from the coast please holler at me. I have a few acres to store it on.

Watauga Lake TN- Is it worth a trip in the fall?
It's been a rough summertime at our house. Between family hospitalizations, funerals and some generally crappy goings on of all types. Now that folks are healed up and trying to smile we need a trip somewhere I've never been. Can some of you help me out with a little inside information?
