watch for spawn. look for swirls as you walk the bank. and it don't cost nothing to try ,throw away! best of luck hope you find them.

i have hooked a few weeds /briars. kind of like unfolding one of those old road maps , hey just cant be fixed.is that why they are making longer rods and multiple choices on line, cause they know that we all are eventually gonna do it.

tried out new lake this evening wow! is all I can say, caught 18 lost 4 more six of them above 4 lb. got two 4's two 5's one 6 and one pushing 7. two hogs right at the boat lost them. guess my new favorite lake!! they hit a frog a sammie a spinner bait and a bubble gum trick worm. i'm still grinning !! yeee haaa!!!

I think young man, give credit to yourself on having the strive to learn. weather it be a computer or an old fashion book or magazine. you have to be willing to put in the time. but am happy to see you visit the forum ,a lot of great info here!

what is it about these fish that we are just sure we are going to catch that makes us loose our minds? or in my case how little brain I have left! she has gonna have to stop hitting me in the head.

loaded up my poles and small aluminum boat got three bait boxes I wanted, drove about 5 miles to one of my old farm ponds,about 3 acres. unloaded the boat ,loaded up all my gear pushed the boat in the water. and man I could just feel it this was gonna be the night. then I realized OH NO! I forgot my oars what now? didn't want to drive all the way back home and back. that wouldn't leave any time to fish . then I thought, use them little bait boxes for oars!.it worked tho difficult . I managed four in the boat, the biggest about 3lb. not the night I thought but it beat sitting on the couch.
