  1. My camping days ended when I retired from the Army. I'm now on a first name basis with the hotel staff at locations near all the lakes I fish.
  2. Shane Fields of the Oklahoma Department of Conservation landed this brute at Sardis and he says the water temps are in the high 50s. I'll be getting my gear ready my first 6-8 hr drive of the year to the SE part of state.
  3. If you were ever the holder of this card, it meant you just got paid and you were coming off the line for a 3 day weekend.
  4. Retired Army SFC Michael Burk had no family to see him off to the "Last Roll Call" yesterday at the Fort Sill National Cemetery near Elgin, Ok. As it turns out, hundreds of folks showed up, including a group of us old retired war horses to see Mike off. A soldier is never alone.
  5. Has anyone put their hands on the Cal Coast Battle Box? If so, thoughts?
  6. I've been trying to talk myself into buying the NRS Hydro Skin.
  7. When I ordered her a new bracelet.
  8. Stop it! I just placed another @Siebert Outdoors order last week along with a JDM order. When my wife sees the bill I'll be in the dog house, again.
  9. So true. I've had those days, because I'm human.
  10. Welcome!
  11. Welcome "to the place where you belong."

  16. Welcome! Illinois born and raised.
  17. Mr. Miyagi had this figured out years ago.
  18. I was watching a guy on YT fumbling around with his GoPro batteries during a tournament and I was wondering, with the high capacity memory cards available today, why are folks still using the stock batteries for their cameras. I know when I'm out fishing, I don't want to have to worry about cameras going dead. There are solutions for supplying external power for your GoPros available today. (I use the older battery eliminator for my Hero 3 cameras, pictured.) Sometime in the near future I plan to upgrade to the Hero 7 cameras and the company highlighted in the video link below appears to have a solution for those cameras. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6Y7a3ZtoeE
  19. The 9" retails for around $95 and the 6.6" for $69.
  20. Google defined it quite good: A glide bait is nothing more than a single jointed hard swimbait that swims with a wider S-motion in the water. What gives the bait category its name however is the ability to pop or pull the rod and cause the bait to careen and glide off to one side, often triggering a following bass to strike.
  21. The DRT Klash 9, 9" 3.3 oz floater and 4 oz sinking, and the Tiny Klash 6.6", 2 oz is one swimbait that has been out of reach since 2015. Oh, I could get one off Ebay for $250+, but I will not give them the satisfaction. The Klash is made by DRT (Division Rebel Tackles) in Japan, and they can't even keep them stocked over there. My friend, Hohyeong Kang, sent me a picture of his latest catch using the Klash, and my mouth watered. If you're a swimbait fanatic and you have one, consider yourself lucky.
