  1. When I was a teenager, my buddy was rowing a small Jon boat around a pond and somehow flipped a bass into the boat with the oar inadvertently. It was a nice one.
  2. Thank you for your service. Nice bass!
  3. Curado 70 is an awesome reel.
  4. I use Seagaur Senshi and I love it. Seagaur just came out with a new mono, rippin, and I am excited to see if it is as good or better.
  5. Several of my HS friends rent this place out each summer. Nice accommodations, reasonable prices, and good fishing. Bring your own boat or you can rent. In 2015 my buddy caught an 8lb bass.(pictured on the Facebook page from August 2, 2015). https://www.facebook.com/Anglers-Paradise-240504909309879/
  6. I use the G loomis JBR 752 jerkbait specific rod for running my jerkbaits. I use to use a 6-6 MH IMX for jerkbaits and love the short rod for this. The 6-6 MH was a good pole in its own regard. I think the Dobyns will serve you well at that price point.

I have been reading for years now too and just recently signed up. Welcome.
  8. Oh and a few cold beers for the evening buzz bait run.
  9. What a waste of a nice rod. Glad you found a replacement.
  10. I have to agree with this. I have migrated to G loomis IMx for the most part, but the white ice is still my favorite for slinging a buzz bait. I love the balance.
  11. I must live under a rock. Never heard of the boomerang but will be taking a look at these.
  12. Bottles of water, beef jerky, seeds, and quest protein bars most days.
  13. Shimano on reels. I know others are good, but I have all shimano. Rods I have duckett and shimano, but have switched to Gloomis and probably won't go back. As for line, I am very partial to Seagaur, but would like to try sunline.
  14. I use cheap Rapala braid scissors. They seem to get lost or fly out of the boat so for 3-5 bucks they work.
  15. I heard the Pete Ponds white ice Heavy rod is a good frog rod. I have a terry scroggins 6-10 medium heavy white ice and I love it. It is my dedicated buzz bait rod. very light and balanced.
