  1. I use 10lb invisx or tatsu. I always use floro so the baits achieve the depth I want.
  2. G loomis IMX are on sale for 220 at TW. This would be a great rod for the money. I know you said 180, but this rod would surpass most rods in that price range.
  3. The good news is the current IMX are on sale for 220 at TW. That is a great price and would be a great choice if you were considering a rod in that price range.
  4. Wow 220 for the IMX at TW. Anybody in the market for a rod should strongly consider these. I have several of these and they are great rods. 7 foot MBR is a great all around rod.
  5. I am a big fan of power pro.
  6. Buzzbaits I go with a duckett 6'10" terry scrogins duckett white ice. Light and balanced. Love it.
  7. Curado 70 and an IMX 6'6" MBR. I normally flip and pitch docks so I like a short pole.
  8. Love my IMX. I may need to try one.
  9. I don't have any worries about the construction. We might be over analyzing at this point. Fine reel and will hold up a loooong time you treat it like a 200 dollar reel.
  10. Green pumpkin watermelon redflake or black if I am up north in MN
  11. Tackle warehouse every Christmas has killer deals on 1000 yard spools of Seagaur. We got spools or tatsu last year for 150 and this would be cheaper still. Great deal.
  12. Loon followed by bone. 130 is my preferred size.
  13. Gloomis IMX MBR 6'6" or 7'0" MBR in medium heavy and curado 70 or chronarch MGL Paired with some tatsu.
  14. I like a short rod. I use the 6'3" g loomis jerkbait series. I used to use a an IMX 6'6" MH, and like both options. I pair it with a chronarch Ci4 and some 10lb tatsu. Perfection with a nice vision 110 GP pro blue.
  15. I have boca ceramics in all my reels and they do make a little noise, but not loud or anything I ever notice.
  16. You will be happy with the reel. I have several and I have been very happy.
  17. I love the curado 70, but that is the only "small" reel I have experience with.
  18. Curado 70 and an IMX worm rod. I love the 803. http://www.gloomis.com/content/g-loomis/us/en/home/conventional/rods1/bass/imx-bass/IMX_JIG_WORM_CASTING.html
  19. This is the jerkbait rod I use. It is effortless and super light. The 6'3" is perfect. http://www.gloomis.com/content/g-loomis/us/en/home/conventional/rods1/bass/bass/JERKBAIT_SERIES.html
  20. I hadn't heard this. I have it on 2 rods so I will soon find out. I have been using senshi and invisx for years and love it, so I expect rippin will be the same.

  22. No experience with Tatula, but I have several chronarchs and curados. For the price the curado is a great deal. I also love the curado 70 as well if you are looking for something smaller. I think either way you will be pleased. All mentioned are good reels.
  23. Jerkbait or lipless crank. I have had a ton of luck with jerkbaits in the spring.
  24. Agree, a great deal at 150. I have several and if anyone was looking for a new reel, this is a great value.
