  1. Not a bass...but one time me and my Father in law were out at night at this pond doing some catfishing and he leaned his rod on the back side of his lawn chair to help one of his kids when all the sudden his rod shot over his chair and took off into the pond with him scrambling after it, almost completely drenching himself in the pond but to no avail!? It was gone for good....
  2. Never thought of it that way! But It's a good point?
  3. I've looked at that foot control peddle...just didn't know if it would be worth it....
  4. So this is my new pelican bass raider 10E. Found a good deal on a little used trailer. We've already replaced the Jack, installed eye bolts for strapping down, and sanded it down to be repainted. I think we've figured out a floor for it as well. Picked up a good used deep cell marine battery from my wife's grandpa. Have a 45# thrust Minn Kota endura max on the way, and already got our big foot controller in. Still need to hook up the Garmin cv4 we just bought and install rod straps and a few other things. Can't wait to get it done and take it Out!
  5. Looks like she's ready for a kiss @Oregon Native!! ??

I'm using an android and what I do is send the pictures I want to post in a text msg to my wife and she sends them back and they automatically resize. Then I save them and can post no problem.
  7. Great day is right! That's a Toad!
  8. I just started using this technique, I like it pretty good. I just put a nail weigh in one end of the bait, and fish it wacky style. You don't have to use stick baits though.
  9. Glad I could help.
  10. I use my phone for all my Bass Resource browsing so every time I read something that stands out to me I take a screenshot of it and save the picture in my album labeled fishing tips.
  11. I'm thinking 20 - $1 Wal-Mart spinnerbaits. That'd probably last you a year and catch you gobs of fish lol ?
  12. I didn't read this thread right the 1st time! When I opened it up all I could see was the shrimp and crawfish! Anyways my birthday is in Oct so I'll take the poboy.....
  13. Thanks! I tried but didn't have any luck lol!
  14. Yeah it looked good! Looked like you was chunking that spinnerbait a country mile.
  15. Yeah she was HUGE in the belly! I was grinning in the dark last night! Lol
  16. It does look like that! I'm guessing she was getting ready to spawn?? Thanks! Sounds like it's time for a trip south! Thanks! Well I only caught 2 last night, a dink and a Hawg! So hang in there you never know when that next cast will be a giant! Thanks! I would LOVE to bust 10 lbs! Don't know if it'll ever happen but for right now I'm just thrilled with a 9.44!!
  17. Caught this 9.44 lb Hawg night fishing with a big black and blue spinnerbait!
  18. Went out night fishing tonight, threw a spinnerbait a little bit but switched over to a zoom curly tail junebug worm. Fished for a good while and caught a 12 incher but didn't seem to be getting the response I was hoping for so I switched back to the big black spinnerbait and moved further down the bank. I was just rolling it along, not burning it but not slow rolling it either when at about 5-8' out from the bank it felt like my spinnerbait was just sucked in....well I loaded up on her and here we go!! I clicked my head lamp on and when she got close to the bank and I saw her I was scared to death I was gonna lose her! It didn't actually take long to work her to the bank and I was able to lip her. She went 9.44 lbs. 23" long and 20.5" in girth. I tried to make the pics snappy and get her safely back in the water where she swam away strong! Man what an awesome night!!
  19. I would go with a 5' xtra heavy spinning rod for sure. Put a zebco 33 on with 6lb braid and 30 lb mono leader. My go-to rig for drop shotting chatterbaits and I highly recommend it.
  20. Okay thanks for the heads up!
  21. Great day on the water! Nice fish!
  22. I'm supposed to be taking a trip down to Amistad here in a few days, and I've never been before. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for me, I'm not looking for someones secret honey hole, but just some general tips on like, are they shallow or deep, what colors work best, good baits to throw.... any info someone would like to share about the lake would be helpful. Have anyone been recently, and if so how did you do?? Thanks in advance, Brad
  23. Nice vid! Here's my only recommendation, take the music out. I would way rather listen to what's going on in the video than music.
  24. Me and a buddy went last night and caught 10 bass between the 2 of us. Black and blue spinnerbait with Colorado blade and a black with green/red flake stick bait T-rigged caught all of our bass.
