I just got a 12V Aerator I am going to use for cooler for shiners. I have an 8V battery in the garage before I go out and buy a 12V battery to use, is it okay to run this on an 8V battery? Any other suggestions? If I do get a 12V battery what would you guys recommend?

Can anyone help me out with a few general areas particularly in Palm Beach and Broward county where I can get on some snakeheads? I haven't done much snakehead fishing and looking to get on a few when I get home for spring break.

Looking for some fishing boots that are comfortable and not hot. I usually just go barefoot on boats while fishing or just some sneakers when bank fishing looking into getting some boots now wondering what the best ones are.

I had to take mine apart recently and replace the parts and when I put it back together it was running backwards. I did some research and the motor I think its called the arm assembly had to be spun 180 degrees and it ran forward instead of backwards. If you haven't taken apart I wouldn't think this would be a problem, but it was a pretty easy fix for me once I figured it out.

If you guys had to rank the best rod brands in your opinion what would you say? If there are rods that you think are better build for certain techniques what would you rank for technique specific rods?

Out of curiosity, I am attempting to slowly become a more versatile bass fisherman. I understand there is preference to everyones setup, but if you had to put a baseline to each technique you guys use what would you say? What rod power, action, and length for each particular technique you guys use? What reel would you pair that rod with gear ratio, casting, or spinning? Then what line would you prefer to use on each setup? The majority of my time bass fishing I have stuck to soft plastics (mainly flukes), crank baits, jerk baits, and frogs. But I do want to expand this for sure as I gain more knowledge. For those of you who don't use as many setups what techniques do you combine with each setup? Curious to see what everyones preferences are. Thank you!

What do you guys think the best spinning reels are up to the $200 range?

I am looking to get a couple of Spinning rods to use fishing for peacock bass, largemouth bass, sunshine bass (Hybrid Striper), and Clown knife-fish. These will be used mostly fishing live shad. I am wondering what your guys opinions would be on this. Considering they will be used fishing live bait and not a certain technique I feel like mostly anything will do in my opinion. I am curious of any other opinions.

No problem I did some research on the internet and there is a lot of different ways and ideas people have on youtube and other sites. I was just seeing if anyone on here had any insight. The only thing I am worried about with those is the corners. The shad corner themselves in there to their death every time I have put them in a container with corners.

Need some help and ideas for building my own bait pen for shad. I want to be able to keep them alive overnight. I would be able to keep it in a lake, I just need some ideas on how to build It. I am hoping someone can lead me to a website or video that has a good template to follow or even if someone on here can give me a good idea on what to buy for materials and how to do It. Thank you!

I am thinking about buying a cast net to cast net shad or shiners. What size and brand cast net should I look into purchasing? Also, I need some tips in general about how to find the bait, what strategies should I use to bring the bait to me or get them to condense into a single area? I am not sure about any of this I have never cast netted for bait in freshwater. I have used a cast net before but nothing serious just a small one. I am open to any tips and suggestions you guys may have.

So I just bought a used St. Croix LTB rod and while fishing the top guide I am not sure what it is called but the black part in the eye fell out and was rattling so I just went to put it in pocket and finish fishing the day and of course I dropped this piece on the dock and lose it. Just my luck lol, So does anyone have an idea of where I can buy this piece and how I can replace it myself or suggestions on where to go to have someone fix it for me? Doesn't seem to be too big of a deal I just have no experience with this type of issue. I attached a google image photo my tip is perfectly fine just the black part in the guide fell out and I no longer have the piece as I said above.

I was in the area this past week and fished a canal on military trail between Northlake and PGA. I didn't have much time to fish and only fished one canal. I wouldn't recommend the canal I fished across from the church/school, but driving past down military there was few canals that looked like they had some potential you can see them when you are driving on i95 as well.

Does anybody know of any saltwater fishing forums that are similar to this site?

I will go get that booklet and read up on that. I don't have a boat and I don't have a car here at the moment so I am pretty limited. I usually catch a ride and go with whoever I know that is going fishing. I do plan on driving up next semester. I would also be interested in joining the bass club if I had the time, but I am playing football here so I don't have much time for that lol. What kind of braid do you guys like? What lb test braid is most manageable on a baitcaster? I will be putting it on a Daiwa Tatula CT Type R and a Medium Fast rod.

I live on Lake Ida and have caught plenty of bass there. If all else fails get some live shiners and you can't go wrong. There is also a guy that runs charters out of Lake Ida and catches tons of fish, I have never gone with him but see him all the time if you are interested in that.
