  1. My suggestions were for trying to catch the fish when it is on its bed. If just blind casting yes small gills will be all over that set up
  2. I won't call it a second chance, but a bait I didn't throw very much last year Was a shaky head. I plan to throw it a little more this year when I really am working to get bit.
  3. Don't use night crawlers, use regular red wigglers. And use a very small one and only pass the hook through it 2 times, just enough to keep it on there. Make sure it is good and lively. We target big panfish a good bit and use either a 1/32 ounce jig head with a tiny #10 or #12 hook, or just hook with 1 small split shot 3 feet up the line. Do not use a cork or a swivel or anything like that. They are super smart so stand as far away from the bank as possible and make very little splash down.
  4. Had a full day planned to fish patoka tomorrow. My partner went up there today to fish a little and scout it out for us. I got a text 2 hrs into it saying he blew his motor up and had a 3 Mile troll back to the ramp, 1 month after he had the lower unit replaced...looks like I'm beating the bank tomorrow
  5. There is a huge thread pinned to the top of the fishing tackle forum. I read it 3 or 4 times a year just as a refresher. You should check it out
  6. I would say it's some kind of trailer. Either for a spinnerbait/buzzbait, or even for just a regular old ball head jig. But I would be wacky rigging them.
  7. Unless you caught them out of private water.
  8. Now the real question...if you had to pick between Larry bird and LeBron James in the season where they were both 30 years of age, who do you chose for 1 season plus the playoffs? Lol. Sorry couldn't help myself. I'll take Larry Joe all day. And go Pacers!
  9. I like 30lb braid or 12lb fluoro or copolymer. I'm not too picky when it comes to senkos because they usually hold onto them for awhile so super high end line isn't necessary for me in the fishing I do
  10. I throw the magnum wide exclusively, and I use a 5/0 gamakatsu g-lock or 5/0 owner jungle flipping hook depending on line being used
  11. I like extra wide gap hooks for almost all my fishing. I prefer gamakatsu g-lock magnum hooks for anything over 10" and for 7" senkos
  12. No set time for me. When I lose confidence in it, then I will change patterns/lures/clolors/rate of fall.
  13. I use fluoro now, but have used p-line cxx with great success. Super strong. Almost impossible to break
  14. 50.7 to 51.7 water temp. Only that 1 keeper on big squarebill
  15. Grandpa and mom's bf fished it today. Chocolate milk. I know they caught 1 on a kvd 2.5. Will ask more details and report back. 25Mph steady wind today so very tough
  16. Think you meant sequoia, which I actually build. Lol
  17. Love my ecoboost f-150. I can haul whatever I could ever need plus have both kids in the back. 25Mph highway and 18 city ain't to shabby for 365 horsepower either.
  18. Just got my order of spro king daddy's and jackall kaera frogs.
  19. Not a fan of round bends. Never use them. Straight shank hooks for when I use braid and ewg when using fluoro, mono, or copoly.
  20. 1/4, 3/8, 3/4. 3/8 majority of the time
  21. I've put 15# braid on one of my tatula sv reels for skipping 1/4 ounce jigs and shakey heads. Didn't particularly care for it so I swapped it for 10# fluoro. 30 is my minimum now for braid on baitcasters and my maximum for spinning reels
  22. A 7" senko is one of my favorite baits. Pitching to wood cover or grass lines particularly. Or even punching. 7'3 heavy power rod, 17-25lb fluoro or 50lb braid, g-lock mag worm hook. 3/8 Or 3/4 ounce weight.
  23. I prefer a single hook because then you can make it super seedless and toss it into the nastiest of cover with 0 fear of hanging up
  24. Never ever throw a 1/4 ounce all black sniper jig from siebert with a black and blue rage chunk. Doesn't work. Haha
  25. From what I've read it is it's least useful sense. But they can still smell/taste
