Rod for Alabama Rig
I don't throw a-rig yet, but the rod that feels best to you, is the one I'd go with. Because if you don't enjoy using a rod, you're never gonna want to spend time learning and perfecting the technique You got it for and will surely have buyers remorse. You can always compensate for the lack of power by using braid, lighter jig heads like 1/16 and 1/8, and by using lighter wired hooks. I have a 7'11 heavy moderate fast rated the same as the rod you listed and it will be my a-rig/glide bait rod if I decide to get into them.

When is a 4lb bass not a 4lb bass?
That's impressive!

Why would a bass eat a lure......
Because their brain isn't very big

Another Hi-Vis braid thread.
For me, light blue line is hard for me to see. I had some 30lb in a baitcaster and it was tougher to see than moss green 15lb

burner worm/speed worm
Pitching to timber and grass lines has worked well for me. Also works good as a subtle topwater, spinnerbait or chatterbait trailer

Better reel for pitching??
Imo it doesn't take a super special reel for pitching. Something that palms well and has a fast-ish retrieve is what I look for. Being that the k is smaller than the previous curado I and the fact that lews are smaller reels in general either would probably be fine. I prefer a 7 or 8 speed reel for pitching.

What to keep tied on for good quality fish
Craw, creature, big worm (straight tail or ribbon tail), and 7" senko. I would say 8 out of my 10 biggest bass have came in these lures. And to be more specific. Rage craw, Magnum Rage bug, xcite baits maximus worm, and then original 7" senko

Suggestions for cheap/affordable reel for flipping/pitching/frogging
I'll go on the cheap side and suggest a daiwa fuego. Can be had for 65 bucks off eBay. Great reels with a high speed retrieve.

Knots for Fluorocarbon leader?
I tie the fg. it's the first and only leader knot I learned, so I don't know anything different as far as difficulty. I practiced a lot and tested it myself for over 3 months before I took it on the water.

Fishing fathers
I have a 6 month old boy, and an almost 10 year old step daughter. She loves to fish, but mainly I think it's more about hanging out and having fun with me rather than her actually wanting to fish. With him I also wonder if he will like to fish and hunt with me.

What reel for ripping through grass
For me yes. But it's all personal preference

How Many States?
Just indiana for me. And only fished 1 time where I actually needed a license. Fish private water most of the time. Plan to change that this year.

Best line for flukes and other weightless plastics?
#1. Is he said that he wanted a good sink rate, being that fc is more dense than mono Or copoly, that was my first choice. #2. The swivel aids in the sinking, gives it a really nice action, eliminates a braid to leader knot (still have 2 terminal knots), and does what it was designed for, keeping line twist minimized. Flukes and other weightless plastics have a tendency to roll so that's why I like the swivel and braid. Both a resistant to line twist.
