  1. Covers I have 0 information on. But if you are fishing in the rain I would think the boat would have a bilge pump, if not, a small electric pump from harbor freight, wired to alligator clamps hooked to a small 12volt battery works great. Its what we use in my buddies 18 ft jon boat and also use it to fill our portable live well. As far as driving in the rain, we pull the plug as soon as the boat exits the water and leave it out until we take off the straps to launch the boat. Just make sure if you have water in the boat and you take off driving with the plug out thinking you are draining the water, remove all debris that could stop up the drain hole. We flipped my friends boat and trailer going about 20mph around a curve because it was still full of water due to a few zoom lizards plugging the drain hole. But once it flipped over, all the water came out very fast lol.
  2. I use $400 rods to fish with. And $120 rods to beat dead horses with.
  3. Another one of my favorites. one of My best friends and I share a birthday so we decided to go out on our birthday and try to shoot some fish. We shot 108 total. 75 pictured. We had my old chevy pictured loaded down so much it was squatting. We estimate around half a ton of fish. Still our best day bowfishing as far as numbers go.
  4. 7'6 heavy lightning shock 7' or 7'3 heavy daiwa fuego 7'3 heavy lews tp1 speed stick 7' or 7'3 heavy daiwa tatula Listed from cheapest to most expensive
  5. Your fj would pull and stop that boat/trailer/gear just fine without trailer brakes if you drive with sense and remember you have it back there.
  6. South of Indiana. We haven't gotten above 10 for a week. In only 30 minutes from Kentucky. Id say minimum middle of tennessee for a decent bite
  7. I don't care for drop shotting, unless I'm going for numbers. Which is rare. But I use a 6'9 medium power lews mach 1 speed stick. Picked up the whole combo for 99 dollars. It's not a whippy rod and has what I consider an x-fast action. I use it for wacky senkos and Shakey heads under 1/4 ounce. It has served me well. Also the dobyns 702 fury is in your price range and it is a rod I plan to pick up. And from what I read its hard to beat a fury for the price. I have also used my 7ft medium baitcasting rod that I cannot mention for dropshotting and neko rigs and liked it as well. It is way under budget at 60 dollars
  8. Our personal best bag of 3. Around 17lbs. My second biggest at 6Lb 10oz. Doesn't look it though. All fish posted had been caught, tagged, documented and released multiple times. We estimate my pb at 13 years oId this year. It was caught one time in 2011 and then I caught it in 2017.
  9. A 24' bass is probably around 90-95 pounds. But a 24" fish is probably pushing about 8lbs. Sorry couldn't resist Great catch. Especially from a yak.
  10. Jig or some type of rage product. Least favorite is topwater
  11. Daiwa fuego ct or tatula ct.
  12. Use whatever line you want. Just fill it up 1/8th of an inch from the top of the spool.
  13. 50Lb is pretty universal for baitcasters. Maybe a touch heavy, but it'll work.
  14. Alex Rudd fishing. Fishes East Tennessee. Ben Nowak Fishes lake huron etc. Great channels
  15. 5 over 5. 2 over 6. 1 over 7 (my pb) I only fish a couple times a year.
  16. 7lb 2oz. Southern Indiana.
  17. Nice! Bought 17lb for my jig rod and 25 for heavy cover pitching
  18. Trying fluoro again, sunline assassin, plus added 5 kahara frogs to make it an even $100
  19. People would rather be on their phones than in front of a tv. Myself included. Its all about the money. Money is power and whoever has the most money has the most power over the industry.
  20. Thanks for the link. You'll be hearing from me soon!
  21. Yes like what is the style of jig
  22. What jig is the trotters craw? @Siebert Outdoors
  23. I prefer a moderate fast rod for jigs and Texas rigs. Would also make a great carolina rig rod. Wobble heads, football jigs, big spinnerbaits/chatterbait. Swimbaits on heavy jig heads and possibly ripping lipless cranks out of grass.
