Eliminating water and finding bass?
Find all the similarities and differences between 2 different points, fish both until you figure out a pattern. 1 fish is luck, 2 is a pattern.

Topwater leader material+brand
I use p-line cxx as leader material for every application that I feel like I need a leader. I use 10lb with my poppers and if I threw a spook or other type walking bait I would use 15lb. If it does sink it's very very slowly and doesn't hurt the action of the bait in my experiences. I also have 2 spare reels spooled with straight cxx because it is a suitable line for all applications imo.

Rod for flipping/pitching
7'3 H lews tp1 speed stick. Super stout with a nice tip to walk a frog or detect light bites in heavy cover. Mine is my frog rod

(Un)official Hoosiers Thread
I'm not sure if the fish actually did it or if it was a coincidence, but I'm ok with it lol

(Un)official Hoosiers Thread
Yeah something definitely happened because I used to have to turn all my brakes off and back spool tension way off and still wasn't getting distance like I should have been, so first cast after that fish was a crazy backlash, but then once I dialed it in again I was chucking the frog 40 yards easily.

2 in the popping frog in 30 minutes, last fish messed up my reel, now I can cast 10 yards farther. Weird.

Jig fishing in ponds?
Good thread, one thing I might add that has helped me fishing not just ponds but everywhere is use as light of weight as you can get away with. In the few small ponds I fish (less than 12ft deep) I will only use 1/4 oz jigs. For deeper ponds or lakes I will use up to 1/2 oz, with the sweet spot being 3/8. I would suggest you grab a 1/8 or 1/4 finesse jig and use either spinning tackle or casting, whichever you like more, thread on a double tail grub and let er rip tater chip!

Mayweather vs. McGregor Who ya got?
Mayweather wouldn't have agreed to the match if he wasn't guranteed a win. Regardless of how the match looks, mayweather will win.

Curado 201IHG
I like p-line cxx. It is a copolymer. It is a Jack of all trades. I would suggest 10 or 12lb because it's breaking strength is nearly double what the lb test rating is. It is buoyant so you can use it for topwater, has little stretch so it is good for bottom contact baits, but does have some stretch which is good for moving baits like cranks and spinnerbaits. Also it is super cheap per yard. I do not suggest it for spinning reels unless you use the 6lb or use it as a leader. I would also suggest you use some type of line conditioner for the 10-12lb. Kvd line and lure or another name brand line conditioner will work wonders

The difference is that the 201 is left handed the 200 is right handed.

Baitcaster Line
If you are looking at braid I would suggest kastking, power pro, suffix 832, or daiwa j braid. Kastking is very cheap and can be had on ebay or amazon

What lure? Trolling behind kayak/boat?
When I did this we were in a 16ft Jon boat, but we were tourney fishing and starving so we got on the upwind side of the pit (about 100 acres) and drifted slowly with the wind while we ate a sandwich to our next spot. I bombed my carolina rig out with rod in one hand and ham sandwich in the other, drew a few strikes in the small stretch we floated while we took a break.

Curado 201IHG
For the curado rod, I would look into dobyns fury, irod genesis, lews tp1 speed stick or falcon buccoo sr line of rods. I have a bucoo and speed stick and for 100 dollars I find them hard to beat. Irod is right at your budget limit and have heard nothing but great things about them and plan to add one to my arsenal soon. For the cranking setup I am in the same boat and plan to add an irod rip rap special and a daiwa tatula ct in 6.4 or 5.4 gear ratio soon as well. I think @fishnkamp should chime in here too because he gives great recommendations.

Curado 201IHG
What techniques are you wanting to use the curado for? I have a 200hg and have it on my frogging stick. And also what depth or style cranking are you wanting to do with the other setup, clue us in on the details and I'm sure we will be able to spend your money wisely! Lol

Baitcaster Line
I would not put 25lb mono on it. I would suggest something like a 12lb copolymer or monofilament. And I would also suggest some line conditioner as well. 25Lb mono will have a lot of memory and will not handle well to a New baitcast learner. P-line cx, trilene xl, McCoy mean green, Seaguar senshi, or Berkley big game gets my vote. I would say use 40lb braid but braid is expensive and sometimes hard to find good braid. Mono is cheap, reliable, has good knot strength and can be found nearly everywhere.

KVD 1.5 Square Bill - Really?
Also I don't think it was sharpness as the culprit if you were hooking fish. Maybe you just had some super jumpy/feisty fish, as they tend to jump more after they spawn in my opinion.

What is the most versatile line for my lures?
50Lb braid with a leader is what I use on 90% of my setups

KVD 1.5 Square Bill - Really?
You should read the FAQs & Rules. Bashing a company or brand is highly frowned upon. But anyway, try the Berkley line of hard baits. They come with razor sharp hooks out of the package.
