  1. I hope to someday fish with some fellow bassresource guys. Could only imagine the knowledge I could gain.
  2. Thanks a lot @Bluebasser86 now I'm gonna have to get some of those worms
  3. Walmart has the Shakespeare micro lite combo for like 25 bucks. Awesome little bluegill rod and reel
  4. I watched tacklejunky81's video on snell knot and that's what I use when I use a straight shank flipping hook. Ewg or round bend I opt for the palomar
  5. Use a connection knot such as uni to uni, fg knot, blood knot, Alberto. And I would suggest anywhere from 10-15lb leader. I like p-line cxx as a leader. Its very durable. Fg knot is what I use. It comes through guides well and is very strong. Probably Not the easiest to tie but easy once you get the hang of it.
  6. I use a 5/0 owner jungle flipping hook with my magnum bugs. I like them on a swinging jig head as well.
  7. Xcite baits maximus worm is awesome. Its tail floats and is a 10.5 inch straight tail. I use it for deep water. And the fish love it. Blacks/purples/blues/browns are my favorite color to use in any kind of big bait. Regardless of water clarity
  8. Either is fine. I use 3/8 more because of casting distance. 7/0 hook is big! Lol
  9. My new favorite combo is a falcon buccoo 7'4 H with a tatula ct 8.1:1 gear ratio. Reel is 80 bucks at American legacy now and rod is about 100 bucks retail
  10. 30Lb braid is what I crank with. With the thinner diameter I feel like it makes the baits run deeper to me. That is just my opinion not a proven fact.
  11. Prides creek in southern indiana. Just off of interstate 69. The park is nice and clean and the water is easily accessible and has some decent fishing, it is an idle only lake and the water doesn't get very much boat pressure. This is my "home lake" make sure you let me know if you go there.
  12. I've switched from fluoro to copolymer in the last year, really enjoy the switch. I Have combos with 10-20lb p line cxx. Never have had any issues. Especially with the ultralow cost
  13. Haven't t rigged a craw in a few years, but rage covers all my craw needs.
  14. Check the latest sale/deal thread. I believe dicks sporting foods is having some kind of berkley rebate.
  15. Did you make that one for someone expecting a baby boy? If so that's awesome!
  16. That's awesome! Love the chartreuse/yellow one.I've had to prime/paint bumpers for $45,000 vehicles before at work and they didn't come out nearly as good as this, I think I could get you a job lol
  17. X3 seibert outdoors jigs are some of the best quality jigs I've fished, and super easy on the wallet.
  18. Wow! What a great story. Very vivid detail and I could picture it all in my head the whole time I was reading
  19. Has anyone here fished bluegrass fwa just north of evansville? Supposedly some giants in there.
  20. 7 blow ups, 2 two pounders landed. Had another hooked but he came off. All on the frog. Maybe this topwater fishing ain't too bad.
  21. If my calculations and research on indiana largemouth are correct, that fish would have to be approximately 78 years old to reach 21lbs and living in a very southern indiana growing season in a super private pit with more shad and bluegill and crawdads to eat than you can shake a stick or stick bait at.
  22. Guy at work tears up pond bass with a mepps. I haven't ever fished one but Wil soon.
