  1. Yes. They are all hybrid silicone or rubber + hair. Some have chenille as well.
  2. @Munkin here you go
  3. Does excess heat on the bill when heatsetting paint cause the bill to weaken? I painted two ild rapalas a couple weeks ago and both bills broke on wrocks the first evening.
  4. This might be my favorite paint job so far. Its an old rapala that was foiled in silver minnow. It was all beat up so i gave it a redo. Black and gold with a red belly. It pops more in person.
  5. I talked to him. He does have a 110 version of the x-rap but doesnt know of anyone carrying a 90 or 70. That’d be amazing if someone did. I love 70 size jerks. He does have a 70 size mb110 jr that im definitely going to give a shot.
  6. @MunkinDoes he have anything that has a more aggressive action similar to an x-rap?
  7. Knowing thT going in, i can sneak in a suspendot, heavier split rings and/or use straight fluro if i feel i need more. I’m good with a slow float as long as it is slowww.
  8. Yes it is. Says so on the website I want the 110 jr’s. Ive caught some smallies on the 110 and 110+1 but i prefer the 90 size. are they easy to suspend
  9. Quality was good. I bought some from a different place and all the bills snapped off
  10. Has anyone used the sugartit custom blanks. In particular the frenzy shad ko. I was looking at them because i wanted to do my own paintjobs on a few. Berkley’s unpainted ones are the same price as painted so i an looking for cheaper options. Im also eyeing some of there other baits. I know its a tacklemaking question to an extent but i figured alot of guys might have experience with prefinished versions
  11. Round living rubber from barlows. Mainly its one that stayed in my tackle bag through the summer. Some are just deformed because i’d dropped them in an over full compartment. Some though did stick together. The ones that were put on a shelf in a box this spring do seem to be in good shape.
  12. How do you all store rubber skirted jigs? I made a bunch of rubber skirted jigs last summer. They have been in my boxes or even sitting on my shelf. They have become mangled and strands stuck together. Some were in with other rubber and silicone skirted jigs at room temp. Is there a trick to storing them when not in use.
  13. Can get size 2 and 4 91768 at captain hooks discount tackle. I use them in my 1/8 oz poisontails as well as i modified my 3/32 and 1/8 oz worm mold to accept them. Makes a great jig for stupid rigging small tubes.

For sinkers i just use powder paint. Just run a wire through
  15. Have you teatwd them? Do the blades spin easily?
  16. Once you do it a few times it will go faster. Me personally, i like to use hackle pliers for palmering
  17. Been back at making glides. The 130 is oak is a sinker but has a great roll and s action when fished fast, the 168 is poplar with a very heavy float and a nice little s-action barely on top. Still learning but im taking notes. The 168 was painted with krylon spray bombs. Silver crome, a metallic red and silver, black gold and purple glitter paints.
  18. I’ve thought the same. I have buddies that go up to detroit every spring and those would be perfect for them.
  19. I always start with the clevis size. The style of head really doesnt matter. The clevis needs to freely rotate without binding. I alsodont like to fish a front bead because i have experience binding there as well.
  20. I’ve done a #8 indiana and #6 willow but not a #8 colorado on a 3/4 oz. The #8indiana ran nicely. I’m guessing the #8 colorado would have to be slow rolled to keep it off the surface.
  21. The only way i know to make a finished bait more boyant is to downsize the hardware. You could try the floating strips that are out there
  22. You would be better off picking up a berkley lightning rod. I’m pretty sure they probably have a med/fast in 6’ to 6’6”. The ugly stick gx2’s arent bad these days and they dont feel like a broomstick anymore either. I got a 6’ spinning model for my son last year and it feels decent.
  23. I have gad 2 speed spools that functioned great until i took them apart to oil them. The knock on them is the bearings arent sealed so they need to be maintained. Atleast thats my understanding. They also dont work if you lose pieces or dont put em together correctly. 🤦‍♂️
  24. Yup. I have 2 Lews that i cant use because i decided to take them apart and couldnt get them back together. Never again. I will pull off the brake sidecover and remove the spool but thats it.
  25. I would go 1/8 oz with a small kahlins or zoom grub in 3 or 4”. We just got a bunch of rain so rivers are up around here. I would go with orange, yellow or white. Look for current seams. They are spots in the river where an obstruction causes part of the river to flow backwards.
