You're cheating yourself by NOT using live bait. A 7.5 heavy rod, #20 mono, 3/0 circle hook and a 9 inch wild shiner equals lots of fun.

What lake or part of town was it caught in?

What do you intend using the rod for? All my rods are Loomis' and I have many. The Mossyback is a good rod but I only use Mossyback for flipping because sensitivity isn't really an issue. The BCR853 is hands down the best worm rod on the market (actually, I haven't used the Megabass rods YET) but don't sell yourself short, get it in the GLX. The GLX BCR853 is worth all $400. Don't worry about the rod breaking on hook ups unless you're a complete tourist and have no clue on what your doing. And if that's the case then you shouldn't be fishing Loomis anyway. You won't find ANY rod in BassPro that compares "as good" as the Loomis GLX BCR853. People often say "for the money, _____ rod is just as good as the Loomis." Well, that's horse poo. If that's the case, then just get a bamboo cane pole.

Wow, you did whack'em. Caught about 20 in Lake Clarke today on Senkos and worms. The wind was a but the fish were biting.

I caught over 20 bass today on Senkos. I didn't wacky rig them but I did use circle hooks. 2/0. Everyone was lip hooked except one.

Well, I fished a tourny at Osborne today. My partner and I caught about 20 but didn't place. 1st was 14+ 2nd was 13 Big fish was 5.12 Winds at 6am were 17 knots with gusts 20-25 and it got worse as the day went on. I fished Lake Clarke all day but the majority of boats went south, Boynton/Lake Ida I assume. The fish I caught were holding tight under cover/docks. I was tossing black Senkos with a 1/16 ounce split shot. The split shot was about 8 inches above the Senko. I was also using a 2/0 circle hook.

I was out on Osborne Monday late morning. The lake is full of hydrila along the edges and stretches out to the middle in patches. Throw rattle traps around the bridges and rip it through the hydrila. Black worms also produced well for me in the hydrila holes. There is a tournament scheduled for this Saturday but expect high winds. I'll be fishing though.
