Tipping?
Bassn Finatic, I'm with you on this one. I see where Muddy is coming from but I hate when my delivery guy asks "do you want change." I tip very generously but don't pressure me or put me on the spot. How about restaurants that include 15-18% gratuity to your bill. I realize they do this because they're serving 6 or more people but the service BETTER be good or else I embarrass everyone at the table by letting the waitress know he/she sucks. I usually would tip more than what they imposed on me but I hate being forced. Here's one I don't tip on and that's wine/alcohol for dinner. The wife will drink 2-3 glasses of wine for 18-24 dollars. The waiter doesn't put in any more effort bringing her the wine then they do bringing me my water. I deduct the alcohol from the bill before I tip.

How much does your "live" bait cost now?
Minnows are $1.25 a dozen here in Palm Beach, Florida. But Shiners are a different story. Hawk and I paid $25 a dozen for big wild ones.

Attention South Florida Boatless Bass Fishermen!
WOW! I wonder what kind of boat it is? Makes sure he is a member of sea tow and make sure you're covered under his membership. Sounds crazy to me.

Catch your own bait?
I can't imagine anywhere in the United States paying 10-15 dollars for a dozen of minnows. Shiners, yes. But not minnows. Minnows are usually a dollar or less per dozen. Perhaps shiners are called minnows up north?

Mullet
I'll be checking the bridges soon. The snook activity should be picking up anytime now.

Are you talking about minnows or shiners?

G Loomis BCR rods
I'll take a stab at this one but don't take my word at 100%. The BCR line is their worm rod series and MBR is their "all purpose"series. Two totally different actions. The BCR will have a faster tip then the same size rod in the MBR series.

What was your best bargain?
My Uncle just got a NIB Chronarch 50mg and MINT G-Loomis IMX MBR843 for a whopping $175.

Night time senko or swimsenko colors and techniques you use.
That's a very nice fish. Are you a Miami Dolphins fan. The color of your worm matches their colors.

power of stars
having many stars means we spend too much time on the computer and not enough time on the lake.

Gotta blow off some steem!
Opinions are like donkey holes, everyone has one and most of them stink. The guy in the store sounds like a know it all goofball that should just be ignored. As far as your friends dad goes, I could understand him telling his not to give up their good spots. Perhaps the dad plans on fishing the same tournament and doesn't want you in his spot. I personally wouldn't mind helping you out since you would be my friend but everyone is different. I can't really blame him though if that is the reason for not sharing his spot.

Coon
Now I can see it. It sucks getting into your 40's because that's when your eyes start to go bad :'( Thanks..

Coon
I still don't see it. Are you talking about a raccoon?

Coon
I can't see dookie, no matter how hard I squint.

is anybody else...
Not really. Hopefully he will grow learning how to handle whatever situation the world presents to him just as I did growing up. I worry more about him knocking some girl up while he's too young.

Catch your own bait?
24 bucks for 2-3 dozen minnows? I pay about 75 cents a dozen down here in Florida.

fishing a shallow lake!
That's pretty shallow, especially if you're shore fishing. I would stick with the buzzbait, weightless plastics.

Dude, we have Space Mountain.

fishing a shallow lake!
What kind of cover/foliage is on the lake? What are the water temps? What is the water clarity? Are there any canals, streams running into the lake? Are there any docks? I have never fished out of Florida but many of the Florida lakes average 8-12 feet. Generically speaking I would use soft plastics such as a Zoom Super Fluke and a T-rig worm. I would also use a floater stick bait of some sort. I would concentrate on the shoreline in 1-3 feet of water in the am with the Fluke and stick bait. I would then move out and fish T-rig along grass lines/beds. Look for any sudden drop off, even if it's only a foot and fish that.
