It was AFRICA HOT again today.

I am saddened to hear about Lucy. My heart goes out to you and the family. My wife and I bought a 6 wk old Yorki/Maltesese mix when we got married. He is almost 7 yrs old now(dog yrs). He has slept in our bed EVERY night since we bought him. I don't know what I'll do if I ever lose my little buddy Tinker.

My girlfriend bought me a 6'6 Loomis IM6 in 1987 or 1988. Back then, this was the top of the line for Loomis. I still use this rod. Actually, I let my dad use it since I'm overstocked. He fished with it last weekend. I thought of breaking it and doing the expediter service on it but that would be dishonest and I also don't have the heart to break a perfectly good rod. I'm afraid of Karma. I also thought of stripping it down and rebuilding it but honestly, it functions as perfect as the day it was given to me.

Do ya'll think S.Florida is going to get slammed this year? I don't know how many "predicted" canes are supposed to hit but I have a strange tingle in my back that we'll get some nasty tropical storms. Now is the time to start your generators, check your 1st aid boxes, gather your important papers/insurance policies and basically get off your arses and get ur crap together. I used 3 of my wood storm panels to deck a 16' jon boat over the winter so I have to hit Home Depot for new plywood. :'(

Ft. Lauderdale hit 100 today(next county south of Palm Beach, Fl) and I believe it was Vero Beach that had ALL time record high of 101. I went out yesterday and tore'em up. They started hitting about 7pm. I went out today at 5 but the heat was too uncomfortable. It was almost as bad as trying to take a dump while sitting in a sauna.

I would even say it's impossible to catch two 15 pounders in the same day on lake "O". Even in a life time for 99% of the people who fish it.

The salesperson in the fishing section never heard of Yozuri fishing line. They stopped carrying Luck Craft. They don't have any High end Shimanos, or other reels for that matter. They did away with the boating department and expanded the camping/diving section. The food sucked in the restaurant on two different occasions. They're expensive. No reason to buy from them over Sports Authority, WalMart, BassPro or one of our sponsor here at BassResource.com.
