My wife is killing me
I've been eating Smuckers grape jelly for YEARS, until tonight. I go to the fridge to take out the jelly for my late night pb&j snack and what do I find where the Smuckers is supposed to be? Fricking Welch's grape jelly. I mean come on, is it that darn difficult to pay attention to what brand you put in the shopping basket? Oh, get this. The other week she brings home "Reduced Sugar" Froot Loops. What the heck is reduced sugar Froot Loops?

People and their boat docks.
I hope you have a good attorney because what you're doing is border line criminal. Purposely throw a spinner bait at me and I promise you would be swimming back to the ramp.

Night fishing
Geeeez, how did I miss this thread. Night tournaments just started 2 weeks ago down here, every other Thursday but only 4 hours ,6p-10p and last until October. This is my 3rd year fishing them although it's more like 2 hours of twilight and 2 hours of darkness. I don't use any type of lighting system except for a red light and that's only when I re-tie. Once it get's dark I fish 99% of the time with T-rig worms. I'll use 6 inch to 11 inch worms. Sometimes I'll use a rattle and sometimes I wont. I use the smallest weight I can get away with and fish S L O W. I also use the 8-10 pound line and sometimes 12 and a very sensitive rod. The thing I hate the most is making an overcast into the bushes/trees and nosing the boat up in there to retrieve the lure. I HATE, HATE, HATE spiders and it's darn near impossible to see'em at night.

The Cracker Challenge
Root Beer, No, not frozen. I suggest using water so you don't waste the beer though. The idea is to use long neck bottles. Fill bottle with water up to where the neck meets the fat part of the bottle. Hold bottle around neck so the rim of the bottle is flush with your thumb and 1st finger. Smack top of rim with other hand. You are forcing air into the bottle when you hit it which causes the bottom to fall out.

Yall love the Holidays
What, no love for peeps? ;D I like the cadbury eggs too. The Peeps kill my teeth. I like the coconut eggs, malt balls and the little chocolate footballs.

The Cracker Challenge
That trick has been around for ever PAMPER BOYS . You can substitute pretzels for the saltines too. Here's one for you. Hold a beer bottle with liquid in it, any king of liquid. Smack the top of the bottle (rim) with the palm of your other hand causing the bottom to pop out. You can make big bucks with this trick once you master it. Let me know if you kids get stuck and I'll shoot a video demostrating how it's done.

lox report
Sounds like a date. I'm on vacation until the 14th also. I dropped the boat off today for it's 1st service and so It'll be ready for some hard fishing. Let's check back on here around the 30th and plan something for the following week. A group trip to the Marsh would be great and perhaps we can get G. Welcome to suggest a few spots.

Which Calcutta
Well, I got the GT50. I'm was a bit worried about line capacity v.s the regular 50 but I'll manage. I need to buy stock in Shimano as this purchase makes my 6th Calcutta.

1st matt lure fish
I haven't caught anything on the gill either but tear'em up on the baby bass. You're lucky though, condo fishing is usually very good here in S.Fla.

People and their boat docks.
I have never had a problem with the freshwater docks. It seems the homeowner understands people are going to fish it regardless. I do however get into it with the saltwater dock owners and they can be real peckerwoods. Snook fisherman, such as myself, rely on lighted docks at night to fish for Snook. Trying to find a lit dock around here is darn near impossible because the owner turns them off during Snook season.. Arswipes!! It's like living on a golf course. If you don't like the ball hitting your roof then move off the fairway/green.

Bass Fillets
Bass aren't bad, depending what water they come out of. I much rather prefer catfish and speck but if you're under a time constraint then bass will do just fine.

Which Calcutta
Thank you Catt, I too fish T-Rig 90% of the time and find 5.0:1 a bit slow so yes, the extra cabbage is worth it. The GT will be the one. Thanks, Doug

lox report
That's great! My Uncle comes down this Saturday for 2 weeks so we'll definitely be out there. I never fished the south end though so you and Glades will have to meet me out there for a little get together. I also plan on going to the Stick Marsh if ya'll are interested.

Which Calcutta
The regular 50 or the cte50gt? There's about $125 difference between the two which I'm not worried about as long as the xtra 125 is really worth it. Any opinions, preferably from those have this reel. Thanks.

Is this a good deal?
I use Loomis but not the GL series. I would venture to say that any of their fly rods under 100 bucks would be a good deal though.
-
How did you originally choose
Years of trial and error/experience. Or you can just take my word and buy SHIMANO.
-
How to negotiate at a dealership?
Buy/apply over in the intranet. I saved quite a bit this way and the dealership was only 7 miles from my house.

Burglar chose wrong house.
And what's more pathetic is there will be some dirt bag attorney who will somehow find a jury to award in the crooks behalf.
-
Burglar chose wrong house.
Well, I would have thought the cop would go get a weapon himself instead of wrestling for the one the guy had. IMO he was lucky. Also, while I agree the creep got what's coming to him, that family may never feel the same about that house. Sad. I never said the bad guy had the gun. The cop/homeowner had the gun.

Burglar chose wrong house.
A suspect forced his way into the occupied residence via the front door about 8am. The occupants, a Major for my Sheriff's office and his wife. The Major was getting out of the shower when he heard someone forcing their way into the house. Major wrapped a towel around himself and confronted the suspect, who was now inside. Brief scuffle ensued resulting in a dead suspect with one gun shot to head. My thoughts: Great start to a perfect day.
