I got my 3rd Lews Tournament Pro in today. I fished the other 2 exclusively in over 20 tournaments last year and never had a problem with the drag or other functions and pulled in over 300 pounds of bass. Several were horsed from under docks and dock pylons. I didn't, however, use them for heavy flipping, that is what the 3rd is going to be used for.

My son ratted me out, accidently. First, let me set the stage for you. I took my 3 yr old son to Dick's SG last Sunday and bought a flippin' stick. The rod sat in my boat until the wife went to work on Monday, at which time I relocated the rod indoors to my rod rack. Tonite (Friday), my wife, son and I are in the living room watching t.v. and playing trains. Dad (me) - Son, do you want to help me put new line on my reels. Son - okay, daddy. Son comes over to couch and touches rod while I strip old line off. Son - I like your new fishing rod, daddy. Wife - What did you say, son. Dad - (interjects) Nothing, babe. Son - (not giving a rats ars that I interjected) I like daddy's new fishing rod. Wife - Babe, did you buy another rod? Dad - (Pretends not to hear wife and says nothing) Wife - Son, did daddy buy a new fishing rod when yall went to Dicks? Dad - Come here son. Dad - (whispers in son's ear) It's a big boy secret, don't tell mommy. Son - (Goes over to wife) Mommy, it's a secret. Daddy got a new fishing rod. Do you like it? Wife - (hesterically starts laughing) Dad - (Lowers forehead to palm and says) I'm doomed.

I use #8 and #10 Yozuri on a Calcutta 50 TEGT and 7.5' Loomis med/hvy crankbait rod.

I have two Lews Tournament Pro's. I used them exclusively all tournament season last year and they performed flawlessly. I'm ordering a 3rd one tonite. I don't know a thing about the Laser MG.

Worst- Fish don't bite on a full moon. Best- Don't give up fishing for a girl.
