  1. Yea, he and I have a couple of these reels. His are 9/10 while mine is 7.5/10. He just started using his again recently while mine was retired many years ago.
  2. Thank you Dave. My uncle has a few of them he wanted to sell and upgrade to modern reels.
  3. I have access to a couple of the older model Shimano Bantam Magnumlite GT 2000 reels that are in great shape and was wondering what you guys might think they are worth. I'm not posting this in the flea market because they aren't for sale, yet. I'm just looking for what a reasonable price would be.
  4. I thought Pinnacle was a golf ball. ;D Welcome to BR..
  5. Isn't Pinnacle a brand of golf balls ? Just bustin' on ya. Welcome to the show.
  6. I think we all need to chip in and send lil' Davie an Escort.
  7. Exactly. They would secretly eradicate any plant or fruit that could be the single, most productive way of curing cancer. What would be the population of the world if they found a cure for cancer and AIDS?
  8. So that's the new name for telemarketers?
  9. Geeeeeez, not again!
  10. I'm not going to get into the do's and dont's of carrying concealed. I carry concealed and do so no matter where I'm at or what I'm doing, for the most part. For those of you who are thinking about carrying and for those who have never had proper training or seen real criminal activity, then do yourself this one exercise. Stand back to back with one of your friends. Have another friend give the "go" signal as he activates a stopwatch. See how far your friend, whose back was to you, can run before you get your gun out of it's holster. MAKE SURE YOUR GUN IS UNLOADED. I'll bet he gets at least 15-20 feet. He'll get even farther before you can get a shot off and accurately hit your target. Why do I mention this? Because I want you to think about trying to pull your gun when someone threatens you with a knife inside 21 feet. 99 out of 100 times you will be stabbed before you can react.
  11. I'm sure they'll 'blow' it all. On Coke.
  12. Now that is a cool watch. 8-)
  13. That kid looks like a doll in the photo with his rosy red cheeks. Why can't the father tie the kid to his back or build a 2nd seat on the bicycle?
  14. That necklace isn't for kids and I bet her son was SUPER embarrassed when she questioned him about it. I wonder if her son is dating a girl named Mark? ;D ;D ;D ;D
  15. What about the original Star Wars?
  16. lol, and I bet no one read the whole post either.
  17. Wow, I miss Dan too. Let him know he's in my prayers and i wish him a speedy recovery. P.S. Can you ask him if I can use his Megabass rods until he recovers?
  18. Looks like they are over their limit.
  19. Forget the fishing, I'm stuck just trying to get my wife out on the boat.
  20. http://products.gloomis.com/gl/products/family.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302032711&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395181201&bmUID=1265071893089 The BCR 853 is a very nice rod, I have two of them. I would highly reccomend this rod or the next size bigger. The GLX model is a MUST when it comes to worming. You are using this rod as a "technique" specific rod where sensitivity gives you the edge. I have the MBR rods and sold most of them. IMO, they are good "all purpose" rods to get you started. Don't settle when it comes to t-rig or c-rig plastics. Get the GLX, even if you have to save the extra 100 bucks over a month or two. Save and get the GLX.
  21. Why not have the big brown truck deliver him
  22. I'll send you a pack of plastics from one of the BR sponsors (your choice) if it gets best actor. But if it doesn't, then you have video tape yourself wearing a floral pattern dress while fishing from a public lake in the daytime ;D. And post the video on here.
  23. I watched it the other day. I thought it was good but no way it will win anything. JMO.
  24. Have you ever asked your friend where the fish are biting in a particular lake before a tourny? Have you ever asked the locals in a bait shop what baits are producing? If you answered yes, then what's wrong with hiring a guide? Although the guide might not like it if he shows up to fish the same tournament and sees you after he just took you out.
  25. I fished a tournament yesterday on a local lake. This was a team tournament but my partner was sick so I had to fish alone and pay the entry fee by myself, $120.00. I always catch my 5 fish limit but the sizes are small, 1-3 pounds, and have a heck of a time finding a 5 pound kicker. Now yesterday was totally opposite. I put my first fish in the boat that went barely 14 inches and weighed about a pound or just over. I caught 15 more that were too small. Then BAM, I get two decent fish which got my adrenaline going. I knew if I could get two more fish that were 2 pounds each then I would cash. Man, I couldn't get nothing else but dinks. My 3 fish went for 10.66 pounds, just 3 pounds shy of 2nd and a pound from 3rd. My big fish weighed 5+ and got knocked out by about 8 ounces. All my fish were caught on black/blue flake Senkos.
