  1. Mercury now recommends DFI oil for less buildup, if you can premix the gas before you add it in as Sfritr suggest. Also you may want to try sea foam at the spike dosage for a couple of tank full which I think is about 2 oz./gallon, but check the back of the bottle. I use Amsoil HP Injector with very good success runs CLEAN and have had luck with Pennzoil Synthetic on my smaller outboards. Good luck.
  2. As already stated fuel line change from the tank to the motor and possible motor's internal lines are mandatory! 10 micron fuel filter after the tank and before the bulb is also mandatory. Ethanol free gas is a plus, but keep a bottle of Stabil Marine stabilizer in the boat and add recommended dosage upon fill up. Also recommend a Sea Foam every other tank at maintenance dosage and decarb the motor with it every 50 hours. What type of preventative maintenance have you performed on ol'rude?
  3. I sent my son, 2 years and 7 months, to day care with two slices last week didn't think anything of it and he ate it all, of course I had healthy stuff in his lunch box too.
  4. I pull up to the northern most ramp expecting to see NO ONE and was surprised to see Dale in the water. I had an average day (10 total), my biggest pushed close to 5. Most of my fish came off canal edge, fished the flats, but when I got there the bite must have died or I was in the wrong spot , caught fish on just about everything though, frog, dipper, spinnerbait and lipless. Took of picture of Dale holding up a six pounder on the way, back. I kept jonesing though for a big'un since Mike and Dale were sending me text pics, boy was it hot after about 9:30, I have to cool off Sunday, if not I would be out there. By the way I was in a white Ranger with blue stripes and a Yamaha hanging off the back. Dale post that pic!
  5. Are snook in the SUDS yet? I love getting up a the crack aXX of dawn and casting a spook parallel to shore! The refuge is NO GOOD, everyone should heed others ^^^^^^^^^ advice and fish elsewhere it is not worth the trip unless you are after muddies, pickerel, and gars ,............
  6. Hit me up with a PM I won't charge you and can tell you where they have been on Lake Clark shores, my buddy Greg lives on the lake.
  7. Nice setup! Back in the day, for me anyway (1992-98), sealed boxes although inefficient (BIG AMP) gave the "truest" sound, or have the newer generation speakers done away with that? Ported boxes usually gave the "best" low frequency response at a specific frequency, but lacked the tight thump at different frequencies and resonated a bit more than sealed at frequencies other than the optimum tuned frequencies. Basically, is ported the way to go for the true sound now? Was thinking of building a custom box for the Pathfinder, but haven't been into speaker design for a while now. I am all over the place for music choices, you name it I play it.

  9. First model year Revo Premier (2), first model year Revo STX, and latest model year Revo Premier. The Skeet Reese Models varied also I have the one without magnetic breaks and just centrifugal brakes similar to the one you have without the pitch controls. People say its a lube, bearing issue, but I say why should it make noise when other manufacture's reels don't and same model line reels (i.e. Skeet Reese) don't.
  10. Here are the latest computer models http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/at201109_model.html Just about every year for the past 6 years or so I have been looking at storm predicted tracks vs. actual tracks, most models/forecast are accurate about 2 maybe 3 days out, for example if you looked at this weekends forecast the cone fell directly in lower half of Florida, 3 days later the cone is no where near and keeps moving EAST, so I always take forecast with a grain of salt, tell me two/three days out and then I will start worrying, but these 5 day models are basically worthless. According to the models we are safe since the general trend moves it further and further from our coast. Wish it would have hit us directly as a Tropical depression or a weak cat 1 to dump rains over the Okeechobee basin, I'd like another 1 1/2' to 2'
  11. Target bodies of water with big fish potential and put your time in.

  13. Ended up fishing local gold ponds like Mike, caught some fish with nice 5lber kicker! Bite at Lox can be tough, slow down and fish t-rig worms or carolina rigs in the CANAL, flats are spotty at best.....
  14. Someone is on the bass and I am not telling! Sirsnookalot, I slayed the blackfin tuna, dolphin, and lobsters last week in Keys! Fishing was so good that towards the end of the week we decided to call it quits after all the ladies got a chance to reel in a fish, took about 2 hours 1:30 hours of it was travel time to the humps! Gotta love it
  15. When you are as BIG as Walmart and have as much money as the Waltons you tend to donate money to strange bed fellows! IMO Walmart is capitalism at its best, efficient and ruthless, so be it, but a well oiled machine nevertheless!
  16. Welcome to the World of REVO! Doesn't matter if you send it back to the manufacturer, sell the reel and buy a new higher end Premium models, unless you get a no longer made Skeet Reese model with the different braking system everyone I have owned (4 of them) does it, thus I only have the Skeet Reese models. Try adding a small drop of lube to the centrifugal brake pins, only thing that seemed to help for a little bit, other than that sell it and buy a Shimano or Daiwa. Good luck.
  17. Irene looks like it may be MASSIVE before it hits, so come on down to the Sunshine State
  18. I was most likely in the Keys, sorry. I'll PM you my contact info.
  19. Bruce/Mike, Where are you guys headed out of? What time are you headed out, its a hot one out there I was thinking at the Southern Ramp around 3-3:30?
  20. I will gladly welcome a Cat 1 or Tropical Depression over South FLA, we need the rains to dump over the Lake Okeechobee Basin to raise it up to at least 12.5 feet. According to the max wind speed probability table the chance of it becoming something greater than a Tropical Depression or a Cat 1 storm are slim (less than 4%). So bring it! http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at4+shtml/085713.shtml?table#contents

  22. I sprained my wrist on a HAWG in the JUNK on the Big O last year. I was using 65lb braid on a hvy action All Star Big Boy rod when he hit about 40 yards away, knocked me out of commission for 3 weeks to a month.
  23. Sunday evening is a strong possibility for me
  24. I have a BPS synthetic stalker, I love the bottom ejection, but don't every try to take the darn thing totally apart, I ended up having to take it to a gunsmith to put the ejectors back in correctly.
