Hats off to St.Croix
I love that you can do that now as well, to be able to cross reference to what your currently using, just for some reassurance, right. For a beginner needing help on what their new 7' mh f rod can do is very helpful.

Hats off to St.Croix
Could be length of rod, tip action maybe

Fenwick HMG vs Dobyns Fury
HMG all day long. Blanks are extremely reliable and hold up well.

Daiwa Rebellion rods
I've been interested in one for quite sometime, the x wrapping on the blank is just like the curado/zodias/expride blanks. It's also very similar to the evergreen combat stick blanks as well, knowing that daiwa is affiliated with evergreen maybe they used the same blank?

Abu Garcia REVO MGX baitcaster
Pitching and flippin maybe? What the drag on it?

Hats off to St.Croix
I am really impressed with this chart that st croix made up for their new victory line of rods. A lot of guys aren't to sure which rods are best for which applications, and this chart will help big time for anyone looking for specifically a victory rod, but can also be used to help choose another brand as well if you have a basic understanding of powers and actions.

Jerk bait Rod
I personally love my medium casting setups for jerkbaits. Sometimes I want to throw those smaller jerks for stubborn bass, hard to get out there with a stiffer rod. But to each their own, length is on point though!

My review of the Abu Garcia Veritas PLX tournament edition casting rod
Honestly I don't think I've ever been disappointed with any of my Abu rods, they look and feel great!

Zodias 6’ 10” MH
I’m a tall and a longer rod feels more natural to me. I can get a few more feet out of a cast as well with less effort then using a shorter rod. 7’5 SLX rod.
-
Zodias 6’ 10” MH
It's a zodias so it's going to be a great rod. I personally prefer longer rods for my moving bladed baits which you talked about in hour post. I love my short rods though, jerkbaits, lipless cranks and t rigs.

Is Abu Garcia coming out with Gen 5 Revos?
Abu makes a great looking reel man

New Fenwick HMG Rods
I love the HMG line of rods. Super strong rods! Great handle, it is very comfortable to fish with all day. I'm not the biggest fan of the reel seat and locking nut, I prefer the previous generation HMG reel seat and nut that can be found on the current HMX line of fenwick rods. But for the price, it's a durable rod for sure.

Curado 150
Agreed

New Curado Rods
I agree with you on them being the old zodias rods. Same handle design and everything. Fantastic rod.

G Loomis GCX just dropped
Wasn't impressed with the construction of the rod, blank didn't seem that impressive at all either, I'm much more impressed with my zodias and expride rods over it.
-
G Loomis GCX just dropped
Got to play around with the rod this past weekend, wasn't impressed. The butt end of the rod had a piece of cork about a half inch long glued to it, and it was glued off centered and you could clearly see the glue, looked horrible. What a shame man, I'm a big shimano/g loomis guy, was really disappointed.

- Next Shimano reel, part 7?
I'd go for a curado k pg or a 6 sp3ed scorpion mgl. Mgl spool helps when throwing those lighter cranks sometimes.- Scorpion MGL Spool on a Curado 200K
The 200k and scorpion mgl are identical reels mechanically, other then bearings and bushings but the spools are 100% compatible with each other.- Baitcaster Submerged for 3 Days
Seeing how your new to casting reels, I'd get it serviced. Fresh grease for gears and oil for bearings is always a good thing. Could of had sand or mud get in it a bit. - Next Shimano reel, part 7?
