Agreed, sometimes I use to swap the spools between the 2 just for fun. Identical reels.

I usually threaten whoever asks to use a rod. They break it they buy it is what I say. One time I just purchased a brand new abu garcia veracity rod, first weekend out I was fishing with the fiancee and some kid comes walking over all excited to see a fish, well doesn't the little turd walk directly on the first 12" of my brand new rod. He almost took a dip in the lake. Rod was okay and kid didn't really care and walked off.

I was gonna say to give the reel a little shake when seating it in. Just don't do it more then twice because then your just playing with it. Also... dobyns rods look so nice man! I love the look of all of them.

I'm fine with my 4 and 8 strand braids. I love the 8x j braid to be honest, for the price I dont think it can be beat.

I thought they released the premier for the first time during their gen 3 run, I wasn't aware it was released earlier.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the revo premier 2 is based on the gen 4 body style. If its the same one then I've worked on one before and always liked the feel of it. Was nice and smooth and tiny in the hands. It was owned by a buddy of mine and he couldn't ever get it really dialed in no matter what he did.

Spinnerbaits and chatterbaits!! I love longer MH rods. Being 6'1 i feel that I can get away with longer rods because they dont slap the water when I'm holding the rod down low like they would with a shorty lol

Just make sure to thoroughly wash it with clean fresh water after each use in the salt. Maybe once you finish fishing it have it serviced and get some fresh lube in there.
