The two Cabela's near me always have low stock, even before the pandemic. Pretty pathetic that a company that size can be that bad at in-stock management. I'll only shop there if I'm in a pinch and need something...but they're usually out of what I'm looking for anyways. Gander (great in-store stock, bad online selection) and Fleet Farm usually have a better selection than Cabela's.

For that price they could at least throw in a lure retriever!

Got my first few few Shellcracker fish last night. Decided to do a little shore fishing as the sun was setting. Enjoyed fishing it so much I ordered another today in a different color.

No doubt. Some people take clear fingernail polish and put it over the eyes. I may try that with Mend-It. Otherwise I'll take a black sharpie and give them demon eyes when they fall out.

Popping frogs are great in open water. If I'm fishing any kind of floating vegetation/mats, it's regular frog 100% of the time since the cupped face of the popping frog gets hung up more.

Got out for a little bit the last few days. Didn't get out on the boat but managed some shore fishing from a local river (some small smallies) and rock quarry (few decent largemouths). Frog bite was very good today, which is always a blast. Even got a few cannibals.

I love the Dark Sleeper as well. Especially on Smallies. What that said those things are about as weedless as a treble hook with a 2oz weight on it.
