  1. You have issues with the blade getting fouled up on the swimbait because it doesn't hand low enough? I've read a few reviews stating this. What swimbaits do you use on these? Thanks.
  2. Either the RES in regular bluegill color, or this, the 6th Sense Quake in Backwater Bluegill.
  3. If they're floating, they're probably dead. Which would explain them ignoring your lures. Sorry. I got nothing else. Others have already given good info. ☺️
  4. Hi Michael. Let me tell you a little about myself. A while back, somebody here mentioned that Tackle Warehouse had the Jackall Archelon on sale as 'close-out' pricing, and they were wondering if they're gonna stop carrying/selling them. Or if Jackall was gonna stop making them. Now, I already have about 30 packs of them in my boat which will last me quite awhile. But since it's one of my favorite baits, I panicked and raced over to TW and ordered 20 more packs. Now I have 50 packs of Jackall Archelon's, and as it turns out, they aren't being discontinued afterall. This is one of many stories you'll hear if you hang around us crazies long enough.
  5. TW is the new model. I think they're quite similar. The new one is lighter tho. Tackle Warehouse has the old model listed as TWS and the new one TW. I think TW and TWS is the same. They may have just dropped the "S" on the new model. *edit* Actually if you look on Daiwa's site, the old models (listed as TWS on most sites) are just listed as "TW".
  6. Ah. I see TW is getting some this month. Didn't know if anyone else had them sooner.
  7. Nice! You have the older model or the new 150 B that just came out?
  8. I think a lot of people overlook this frog nowadays. While I have probably 10 different brands of frogs in my boat, the Scum Frog is right up there with my favorites. Great hook-up percentage. The Pro Series is my go-to. I also like that it already comes with a rattle inside (otherwise I usually stick bb's and tiny bells inside the frog's cavity).
  9. Of course. From Dobyns: PRIMARY TECHNIQUES: Crankbaits / Jerkbaits / Lipless Rattlebatis / LV500 / Sammys / Staycee 90
  10. I admit I'm not good with oiling/lubing my reels. I do basic stuff like the worm gear and stuff I can get to by just taking the side plates off and spools out. Taking the entire reel apart intimidates me.
  11. All the new Daiwa's? Elite's as well?
  12. What's the gear issue on the new SV's?
  13. I'd pay good money for 1 jar of these.
  14. Ahhh! Now I get where the confusion was coming from (all on my end). I hadn't noticed that.
  15. I have a Helium I bought last year. Amazing sensitivity. The new ones are made with a different blank so I'm curious how those feel. Hopefully as good or better since they raised the cost of them by $50.
  16. Gotcha. But don't you worry about the guides getting damaged bouncing around in the tubes? Whether during driving the boat in waves or even while towing?
  17. Exprides don't have a hook-keeper either. Ridiculous for these pricey rods.
  18. Without that sleeve, sliding rods in and out of lockers, the guides catch on other guides etc, which can lead to damaged/broken guides. With those sleeves, that eliminates that issue. Those style sleeves are very stiff-feeling. That's why I'm saying those sleeves DO protect the guides.
  19. Sure they do. Well, not if you step on them, but no sleeves are gonna protect from that.
  20. How so? They definitely help protect the guides. I personally use Rod Glove on all of mine.
