  1. Not cheap, but you can get these for around $35 if you look around. I really like mine. https://www.piscifun.com/products/piscifun-fish-lip-gripper-with-digital-scale-waterproof-lip-grip-with-electronic-digital-scale-fish-grabber-stainless-steel-clip-fish-control
  2. I bought a few packs a few weeks ago to give them a try. Sadly, the only punching I'd be doing right now is thru the ice.
  3. That' what I was thinking as well. But it balances perfectly with my Curado K on it (minus line). And the DC is only .2 oz heavier.
  4. What reel do you have paired with the Diablo? I have the same rod but haven't used it yet. Got it mostly for swim jigs, Keitech's/underspins, ripping lipless cranks thru grass. Was thinking about getting the Curado DC but not sure yet.
  5. This is what you call "trying too hard". That thing could could cast 500 yards and I still would buy it. Yikes. From their site: ?‍♂️
  6. Was just gonna say that. He's saying this year it's make or break for him. Then he goes out and get a 10 pounder!
  7. You think they'll do away with the Elite already?
  8. The Elite is actually lighter. 6.7 vs 6.9. Anybody been using the Elite by any chance?
  9. Oh, I get it. But I just can't do left hand retrieve on baitcasters. I've tried and it feels so odd. Which is weird because I', complete opposite with spinning reels.
  10. I'm right handed and that's all I knew growing up. Left hand reel for spinning and right hand for casting. I can't even imagine using a left-handed baitcaster.
  11. I believe they recalled all of the Levantes. Not sure when they'll be coming back out.
  12. Either Flukes or Caffeine Shads. But I've been wanting to try the Yums. Not same category, but anyone else remember the Strike King Pork-O's? Man those things were MONEY. And lasted forever.
  13. Wait, are you talking about me or the bass here??
  14. I started out fishing weightless Senko's t-rigged all of the time. Then I heard about how successful wacky rigging them can be. So I started throwing them that way, and I do have success. But I definitely seem to have more success fishing them t-rigged and fishing them like a Fluke.
  15. Oh, not Senko (I also rig it wacky style). I also use shaky heads, so maybe I exaggerated a bit. But when throwing a worm I definitely t-rig it way more often than not.
  16. Yessir. It does just fine in those scenarios. I know the regular med/heavy Fury's are softer than other companies' med/heavy. Don't let that deter you from their med/heavy swimbait rod. Not the case here. Either way, I don't want a broomstick if I'm also throwing trebles. Not saying the 806 is a broomstick, but it's definitely heavier than the 795, obviously.
  17. It has more than enough power for the baits you listed. I'm 100% happy with it.
  18. For the baits you've mentioned, the 795 is a good choice. That's what I use and I throw similar sized baits with it.
  19. You like the EVA foam? Lots of people like the Falcon BuCoo. But there are tons of options with foam handles. Have you checked out Cashion rods? They use carbon fiber handles.
  20. You have to scroll down the checkout page and add it. There's usually 2 different colors to choose from, which changes every now and again.
  21. TBH, I'm happy with the free t-shirt they send me.
  22. I like the way you think! Come to think of it, Tackle Warehouse owes me a few Metanium's, Steez's and Destroyers!
  23. Cool. Glad to hear about the lack of drag on the retrieve. I have that exact same reel for my deep cranks as well. Buttery smooth, especially for the price point.
