  1. I'm in my 40's. I've been fishing for years. I've caught thousands of bass in my lifetime on ALL kinds of techniques. I have never, ever fished a drop shot. Not even once.
  2. That'll easily handle the 120. You could probably get away throwing the 168 on it as well. When casting the 168, just lob it (like Hook2Jaw said) more than straight casting.
  3. Fast action? I know most MH rods are usually rated for 3/4 or 1 oz. The S Waver 120 is a tad over 1 oz. Either way you shouldn't have any problem throwing the 120 on your rod.
  4. I don't think anyone can compete with SO colors. Hey Mike, FYI. The Purple Oyster isn't showing up on the chart.
  5. That's definitely an option. Personally I don't like doing that. It shouldn't be hard for a company to add a hook keeper to the rod.
  6. Also, all rods should come with a friggin' hook keeper. I shouldn't have to buy a Fuji EZ Keeper for my Expride and Orochi.
  7. I mainly use 3/8. I'll go heavier if I'm fishing river/current.
  8. A few things I picked up during Black Friday week. Really looking forward to trying the new Picasso Shock Blade Pro. Of course 90% of this stuff I didn't need.
  9. In years past, once a door is opened, that sale stays going until all 25 days are over with. *edit- Dirtyeggroll beat me to it.
  10. I hear ya. But Croix and GLoomis are MUCH richer companies than Kistler.
  11. Spinnerbait. I mean, who in their right mind would create something that looks like that, and expect it to actually work.
  12. I got more D-Walkers as well. LOVE them on swim jigs.
  13. Is it weird that I enjoy looking at tackle pictures as much as I used to like looking thru the Christmas toy catalog when I was a young'n?
  14. Did you run into the same issue I had?
  15. Went to add to my cart. Still showed the $99 price. When I went to "shipping", the price changed to $189. I think they messed up on their end and just corrected it. You guys got lucky! BTW, the description said 6.1:1, but the model number listed is the 7.3:1. They don't make it in 6.1, but they do in 6.6:1. So I wonder which one it is. Either way, great deal. Edit-Now it says out of stock.
  16. I would not follow this advice. Unless...
  17. If you're in the market for a lipless, get a Warpig. Very nice baits. Big fan of Vintage Craw and Spring Craw (1/2 oz).
  18. Great reel that should be priced higher IMO. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-PFLGRREELS.html?from=basres Heard good things about the XT as well.
  19. Well, it is quite nice. *Puts on some Barry White to set the mood* OK, this is getting weird.
  20. My Megabass Orochi arrived today. Is it weird if I sleep with it by my side tonight? I'll keep it in it's sleeve, if that makes any difference.
  21. As a huge Kistler fan, this has me interested, but worried. Those NFC blanks are no joke. Gonna be hard to match them and keep the rods at the same price point.
  22. I was told the Scorpion MGL comes with a smaller handle than the Curado (unless you get the 8.5:1), Is that true?
