  1. We don't even have swivel seats in ours! Gonna be a long day of standin' in the 1236 G3 Jon....
  2. Perry, welcome to BR. I carefully read the 6 different bags of Gulp that I have, nowhere does it state anything about decomposition. I would say that you are mistaken.... It simply states "Do not return used product to bag" Honestly, I've never had to return any of them to the bag, cuz after about 5 bass, they are torn up anyway. Just me.
  3. I'm trying to find one locally to try. Was interested in the Crucial and the Compre, the search continues!
  4. I've never fished a tourney(yet) but we always get pumped up for hittin' the water. Lots of smack talk involved Now, on the other hand, I was a crew member for two years on a drag racing team, you wanna talk about being extremely nervous and jittery? Nothing worse than first round of eliminations on a Sunday! Especially when you've been up the whole week before getting the car ready, and you just drove from Rhode Island to Sarasota FL, only stopping for deisel and pee breaks....
  5. Nope, Texas rigged, weightless. Throwin' 'em deep into grass and in the pockets of Hydrilla.
  6. Send 'em over! I'll make sure they see the light! 8-)
  7. Welcome to the forums... Send me all those junk baits. I'll take 'em off your hands, especially if you have the 6" nightcrawlers
  8. Glad I just bought the Power Pro and Yo Zuri Ultra Soft!
  9. It seems that everyone avoids the Stren Super Braid like the plague, but my fishin partner uses it exclusively, and he loves it. I've never seen him have issues with it.
  10. I can only comment on the Tierra. I should preface by sayin that it is fairly new, I haven't fished one, but I have held one in my hand. It is a real smooth piece, nice machined handle, feels solid. I can't comment on the drag, but my partner just bought one so we will hopefully find out this weekend. The Tierra has a 4.7:1 gear ratio, and for me personally, I went with the Shimano Stradic because I wanted something a little faster. Plus the Shimano has been out for years with much success. FWIW the Daiwa is around $114.95 and the Shimano runs about $119.99.
  11. I killed 'em last year on Gulp 6" nightcrawlers in Junebug. It was actually one of the best bass seasons I've had in recent memory. They just worked for me for whatever reason. T-rigged weightless, by the way
  12. I've been out "sick" since December 23rd. Time to renew the license and head out for some warm weather and, hopefully, catch somethin'.
  13. Thanx dude. Now we don't have to scramble to get one I'm really looking forward to this!
  14. Ice is almost gone! I would think after this week it should be good to go. Here's a dumb question...at the boat ramp there is a sign that says "No gas motors allowed" is this being overlooked for the day? I'm assuming from all the bass boats last year at the C.A.S.T event....
  15. I printed the form tonight, will be sending it in this week. I contacted Fishergirl and she said there are about 30 boats already! This is gonna be fun 8-)
  16. U.S.P.S (post office) and Fishing Reels Just got an email from a member here that I bought a reel from in the flea market section. He said that he sent it out through the Post Office the other day, and today it was returned to him. He states that the box was crushed and the reel was folded in half like a pretzel. Please don't blame all of us who wear Brown 8-)
  17. Sorry 4 the late reply. I keep going down to Ericksons but they are always closed.
  18. I've had alot of success with the Strike Kings. I just bought a bag of Zoom split tail trailers in chartreuse to add. We fish mostly clear water here as well. My primary colors are chart. w/red and white. I think all my blades are double willow.
  19. I wish more people in RI would participate in trash removal. I can't even explain how agravating it is to get to a spot and find trash EVERYWHERE! It doesn't matter if I'm down at the ocean for stripers, or at the smallest pond around...Dunkin Donuts cups, cigarette packs, fishing line etc etc.... > Makes me sick
  20. I bought some Gammy Skip Gaps last week
  21. :DLOL, nice. I actually wish I was working.
  22. Russ, no work today? You're home early
  23. Bummer :-/ Before the Holidays I was delivering rods from Cabela's every week. They were in long cardboard boxes...
  24. I checked out both the rod and the reel. I was impressed with both, the reel feels solid and silky smooth. The rod was nice and light, hard to tell without fishin it tho. I might buy the Tierra reel, I have a Stradic coming because I wanted a 6:1 reel, the Tierra is 4.7:1 As a matter of fact I think my fishin partner just ordered the same combo you are lookiing at.
