  1. Yeah, let's see. Hopefully you get some info out of it too
  2. Where I fish it has both... Id have to make a decision then. either the 90 or 110. I dont want to get both. lol.
  3. I figured since the lures have been out for some time now and people have been able to get their hands on them etc. What size should I go with? I fish ponds and some larger lakes/rivers at times. From what Ive read anything hits the Plopper, but I also dont want that huge 130 lol. Debating between the 90 and the 110. I did read that the 90 had issues staying upright and making the tail spin correctly but the 110 fixed that? Then again I see people that still only fish the 90... Any help here?
  4. Don't forget your 10$ off rebate on top of that price. Ends in September. Making the reel 40$
  5. How come you're against rattles? Curious.
  6. I like to use Yamamoto Creatures and Fat Ikas, zoom flukes, curly tail worms, lizards/brush hogs. What I'm wondering is, should I be using jig heads or weighted hooks when rigging these up? Of course depends on hooking style. but I mean when I want to use weight... Typically I'll use a bullet weight and rig Texas or unweighted Texas. Of course whacky on senko baits... What about flukes/swimbaits? Should they get a jig headed hook? How do you rig up your plastics?
  7. When you say treble ooks, you mean any lure with treble good , crank, top water etc?
  8. I got back into fishing this year, and thinking back, I used a clinch knot for everything lol. Currently using braid with a mono leader, but may goto braid on the MH rod and no leader. I think I read that braid can't use some mono knots, as it's too slick? Anyway... Looking forward, what are some knot recommendations for the following: Spinner baits Cranks Poppers/top water Hooks ( plastics, lizards etc ) Jigs Braid to mono leaders Maybe one knot for hooks and one knot for everything else would suffice? Thanks guys.
  9. Thanks. I used the uni to uni knot when doing the backing. That seems okay in terms of that but yeah, I'll use the Alberto for leaders
  10. Does the thicker leader grade offer less presentation, if that makes sense. Like does the fact that the line is thicker, does it hinder the application and presentation of the lure?
  11. Any brand of mono I'd assume, big game etc. This would be outside of getting leader grade
  12. Looking to get maybe two sizes of leaders to use for bass spinning setups. Like I said I have a 20# braid now. Also what knot should be used when joining the braid to mono, uni to uni?
  13. True, but if like to save on the braid if possible. The bass I'm fishing won't require a full spool of braid, so hoping I can save some if possible
  14. I'm looking to spool these up at work so I don't want to bring the whole rod/reel setup. Once I fully spool with mono, how much mono should I remove to replace with braid? 150yards? And there is no clear indication when you have enough mono on is there? I know they say 1/8" from the edge but the edge is tapered. Just curious on it
  15. Thanks guys. Im surprised many people shy away from EWG hooks..
  16. Going to put in an order via Dicks sporting goods. Ive settled on 3/0-4/0 hooks for plastics. Curious to see what brands are suggested... Are the BPS hooks decent? You can get 25 for the same price of 5-6 hooks of another brand. Also I see suggestions on straight vs EWG hooks for plastics. What about Kreatures/hula grubs etc? For Senko Wacky rigging, I'll go 1/0 hooks.
  17. Yeah this is crazy... Now what about wacky senkos?
  18. Is there a chart or the link on what size worm to hook? Or wide gap hook? What about on grubs or Kreatures/lizards?
  19. Lol. What I'm saying is I was told to use a 15-20# braid, which is 30-40# mono. You're saying to use 50# braid on a frog rod. Why. I don't understand why you would use a thick braid like that.
  20. But why, I'm having a hard time understanding. It's a 30# mono as we know. I was told to not go over 20# as cast ability will suffer. I mean there aren't any 30# bass around here lol
