We had a pretty good day! We caught 11 bass, 7 walleye and two pike. Most fish were caught on jerkbaits and a couple on spinnerbaits. All in all it was good day and we had alot of fun! Here are the 3 biggest bass of today: 4.9lber.

Why arent there any smallies down south?
Most lakes are too shallow and get too warm in summer for smallies to survive. Smallies love deep rocky areas.

Yes, but that is a largemouth! Also There are no redeye bass in this lake just true northern strain.

Very nice Fish! I saw something really weird on the second pic! Part of your right thumb/hand is missing! I'm not saying that you didn't catch that fish but something is strange in that pic. You can get a larger view by clicking on the pic.

I keep catching bass in certain spots with really red eyes! Is there a reason for this? I allways thought that they are males but I might be wrong. Here's one from today:
