After about a 2 week slump i finally caught a bass! Not huge but a bass. Caught in on a berkley sabertail bug, green pumpkin. I really hope that the fishing is going to pick up! Didn't have a scale with me because i thought i wasn't going to catch anything anyway. What you guys think about the weight? I know it's only one fish but what a confidence booster after a 2 week slump!

I dont really know! When bass have lockjaw they can go without food for quite a while! It's been about ten days around here. They off course still will eat the odd prey but once in a while. In the mouth of this creek i saw dozens of bass and i tried everything but they would not hit anything i threw at them. (that white thing is a big koi carp around 15lbs.)

Ya there are bass in our waters not in big numbers i fish farm ponds and occasionally see them. Im pretty sure they are more abundent in streams and resovoirs with rocks though. Before i knew anything about catch and release me and my dad woudl always look in the belly when we cleaned um i seen crawdads and baby snapping turtles many times. BASS are fericous and will eat anything they can fit in there mouth. I have seen bass eat just born baby ducks off the top of the water . A jig will work no matter where u are!!!! You mean craws not Bass, right!

I dont know if you can make out the bass in this pic. That white thing is a huge white koi carp in the middle of the bass. Must be 15lb.
