Okay, these are NOT my pics, but pics of Niksfishinmom on Kentucky Lake last Sunday. I'll let her fill you in on how she caught them, but I even threw in a pic of some elk she saw that day as well. Anyway, enjoy:

Of course it's my boat!  Bought it new in '96 and been catching fish out of her ever since.  She's a little worn but still my favorite fishing partner.  Sadly, no I can't marry you.  I don't think your wife would like it.  I do love fishing.  Been fishing the local ladies club for many years.  I have to admit, this week has been rather awesome.  I usually bass fish but my sister-in-law loves to crappie fish.  That is what we have basically done the last two days.  It never ceases to amaze me the looks we get...Two females on the lake alone.  Yes, I can back the boat in and also drive it on the trailer.  I've seen more than one boat load of men screw up watching us.  I'm sure they wonder if we are nuts and I can assure them that we are .  We just happen to be females that enjoy fishing!  It makes is so much easier to depend on me than to have to wait on a man to help.  Anyway, I love Ky Lake and that fact that every morning when I get up I'm looking at it!  Heaven right here on earth!  Who needs vacations, I've got it year round.  Wanna catch Ky lake bass?  Let me know.

and NICE fish!!!

Chicks that fish are few and far between here in FL.  Thats really cool that your mom fishes like a pro WPD.  I wish my wife would fish.  We go out shooting alot, but thats big bucks.  Fishing is more chill, less bucks.

Very impressive catches!!! What were your tactics?  

Tactics; relax and have a blast, and it doesn't hurt if you get lucky.  I mainly carolina rig fish due to back surgery a few years ago.  All of the bass I've caught this year have come that way.  All but one were caught off 6in Zoom watermelon seed lizards.  The other was a pumpkin/fire lizard. All were fished slowly, very slowly.  I wish I were out there fishing today but storms have kept me in.  That and i'm too burned from 4 days in a row on the lake.

Hey riskkid, believe me, he still bleedsBlue!  He will always know where HOME is!  Where abouts on Barkley are you building?  I live on Blood River, on KY lake.  When you know the hots spots on Barkley let me know.   ;)The only fishing i've done there is commercial with my Dad.  Caught lots of catfish up around Eddyville but I was raised (at least till we were run out) of LBL down close to the TN line.  Hoping the weather will let me out tomorrow.  I'll be on my own though, my sister in law has to work.  Can't let a good day slip by!

Building on the lake at Rockcastle, just south of Prizer Point. As soon as I get over the construction stuff I'm hopin to do alot of fishing there. I'll let you know when I find some hot spots, probably will take me a while  .

It's good to see that not all men are intimidated by a female that not only likes to fish but is thrilled with the catching part.  Believe me, females can still be female and enjoy this wonderful, expensive habit (I mean hobby).  Look out 8 lb'er, I'm coming after you!  I'll be on the water by 6 in the morning.
